Slice review. Papa's Pizza Oven. Ordered the sweet sauce to compare with the last time I had it. Let's start with the good, which is a very small list. If you like cheese, Papa's will please you. Lots of cheese. This is where my praise ends. I don't know what was wrong with the dough today, might of been old. The dough was thinner than NYC pizza. Not a good dough for all the slop of sauce and mess that this pizza is. Pepperoni may be hand cut or thick sliced. Which is a preference of mine. The pepperoni had no tang or flavor. Very mild and disappointing. Now on to the sauce, which I will use another D word for explanation. Disgusting. Sauce so sweet, I thought I was having dessert. I felt my blood sugar rising. No flavor to the sauce, just sauce and sugar/honey. I would prefer to eat a cup of sugar vs eating this pizza style ever again. This isn't Buffalo Pizza. No old school place ever made this in the West Side or North Buffalo. I'm going to give this pizza a solid 2.3, using the One Bite scale. Which pretty much mean that this pizza has no redeeming qualities and you should not stop or spend money at any of their locations, unless you like pizza that tastes like candy. The homemade bleu is OK, reminded me of Just Pizza's a bit, but of course, Papa's had to use the wrong Bleu chunks and ruined the contrast of the flavor profiles. If you're gonna jazz up a Bleu, the Bleu needs to be milder, to not take away from the experience

As a native Long Islander, I am very particular about my pizza. I’ve never been a huge fan of Buffalo-style pizza…that was until I found Papa’s Pizza Oven. Finding this family-owned pizza place was like a breath of fresh air in a sea of unfortunate pizza experiences i’ve had in Buffalo. The first time I walked into Papa’s, I was adorably greeted by the owner’s 9 year old son. It’s no question where he gets his charisma from—the owner welcomed me with a kindness that made me feel right at home. This place is OUTSTANDING. Hands down the best pizza in all of Buffalo. Their sweet sauce is unlike anything i’ve ever had before—absolutely delicious!! After my first visit to Papa’s, I found myself going back a few short days later, unable to shake the thought of their savory slices. Now onto the wings!! They are everything you could possibly want in a wing. Big, saucy & crunchy. The garlic sticks are phenomenal as well. Light, airy & full of flavor. Needless to say, i’m counting down the days until I am back in Buffalo so I can visit Papa’s once again!

Their is by far the best around, they do need to work on their organization with online orders, what's so far it's been worth any inconvenience because the pizza is fantastic. Update 7/25: The consistency of their product has gone way down, I've been loyal customer since they have opened and afford weekly, but now it's basically a crapshoot whether you get a good pizza or not. We have often got pizzas that were undercooked even though we asked for well done specifically. A bit disappointing because their pizza was amazing but I'm not sure it's worth taking the chance anymore. For whatever reason, recently they cannot figure out how to fully cook a pizza without giving a customer raw dough. I'll leave three stars because of all the good experiences I remember in the past, but I can't take a chance with them anymore.

Our family had went here in May for a party and let me tell you it was probably the best pizza we have ever had. Flash forward to August 9th and it seems the whole pizza is completely changed/or we were on their most off night. But let’s start from the beginning. So after 2 months of craving this pizza, my kids and wife finally decide it’s time for the 40 minute hike from the Tonawandas… but little did we know we were in for a huge disappointment. First I get there and they told me my mobile order was given out to another customer and would have to wait for our new order…that’s fine no worries mistakes happen! I even said done worry I can take a fresh one with a smile! So they say it will be ready in 15…we go back in for them to give us our pizza in a Cheese crusted box,, didn’t think much of it for we were starving at this point, then second they didn’t give blue cheese we had BOUGHT (we drove down the road and had to go back a 3rd time for that after the kids noticed it was not there!) thankfully they did give us a complimentary blue cheese after our 30 minute extra wait! Isn’t that sweet of them! So I go grab it with another smile understanding some nights just aren’t the night and granted yes they were busy. So fast forward to us getting home. We get here we open the box and somehow against the laws of chemistry the top was burnt on half while the other half the pepperoni was still raw. Then to top it off the pizza was still dough. Being parents in the brink of meltdown from our young kids. We had to air fry each individual piece till they were edible! We just never reached that great experience and expectation they had given us. If it wasn’t for the amazing pizza I know they CAN produce this experience would...

I have ordered food in the past because of the reviews and the food was great. The customer service issue I had yesterday with this location Manager will prevent me from ever returning. I placed an order online after clicking pay I immediately realized I made a mistake on my order. I called the location to correct it and they answered the phone "There's an hour wait,do you still want to order"? I stated that I placed an order online and if that was the case I'd have to cancel. Not that it's any of their business but we had a prior engagement so waiting was not an option. The girl that answered the phone said she have to get a manager. Janelle gets on the phone very clearly bothered that I was asking to cancel then asked Why do you want to cancel this order? Your order was already made. I said as fast as I hit send on my payment,I called you how could my order be made? She then said that's how it works in a pizzeria and that she didn't have a way to do that. I then asked if my order is made why would it take an hour she stated all her ovens were full. I told her I cannot wait I would just like to cancel my order. The manager said I'll do this for you this time but it cannot happen again and slammed the phone down. I then called again and asked how to get in contact with the owner who they stated "He's not here" , "Nobody has time to go in their phone to get his number", "There's no way to...
