I highly recommend Tomās Pro Bike. Tomās has been my go to shop since I started cycling over fifteen years ago. I went there on a recommendation of another friend & have been an extremely satisfied customer ever since. They value you as a customer & will provide you with excellent service that will keep you coming back.
Tom & his knowledgeable staff are ready and willing to assist you with all of your cycling needs whether you are seasoned pro or new rider just looking to get into the sport. They will listen to you & make sure your purchase is right for you. And they will do it with a smile! They are all cyclists themselves & are more than happy to share their knowledge & passion with you.
I just purchased my third bike from Tomās. It was a great experience from start to finish. I explained what I planned on using the bike for & they found me the perfect bike. Tom fit me on the bike & recommended a few upgrades to make the bike an even better ride for me. I left the shop confident that I had made the right decision.
Tom believes in giving back to the local community ā he & his staff can often be seen providing road support at the charity rides like the Ride for Roswell & the Tour de Cure or manning the wheel pit at the local races. He also hosts many fun events throughout the season & encourages all levels of riders to participate!
Support your local bikes shops! Sure itās convenient & easy to buy bikes & gear online but will those online retailers be there for you after the sale? My guess is probably not! Buying a bike from Tomās doesnāt end when you roll the bike out the door. In addition to selling great accessories to enhance your riding experience, they also offer a variety of service options to keep you on the road. Their mechanics are knowledgeable & experienced. Another added value is the service clinics they sponsor where basic bike maintenance is covered. The information provided at these clinics is invaluable especially the demo on changing flats. Flats happen & being prepared for them & knowing how to fix them is something everyone should learn.
In case you canāt tell, I honestly canāt say enough great things about Tom & the staff at Tomās Pro Bike. But donāt take my word for it, go check them out for yourself ā they are located at 3687 Walden Ave (just past Central Ave) in Lancaster, New York. Tell them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTom's Pro Bike met and exceeded all expectations that I had before I walked in the door. You have to understand that I am not a cyclist. I have not been on a bicycle since high school (and that was too many years ago to count). I got this idea to advance from being a runner to a triathlete because I used to swim and I'm an active runner. The only portion holding me back was that of the bike. I reached out to a multitude of friends and EVERY one of them recommended Tom's. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by one of their workers who practically held my hand and guided me through the process. We started with determining what it was I wanted to achieve and then finding the bike that was right for me. She walked me through every other option that I was interested in (from shoes, to clips, to tri-bars and so on), making sure that I selected items that would be beneficial and not a waste of money. At no point in time was I ever pressured. If anything, I learned a ton about the sport (cycling and triathlons) in a very comfortable environment. When I left the shop, I was excited to begin my new journey. I felt confident that I was properly fitted to my bike (which they did before I left). I wasn't rushed or hurried along. The add-ons were even installed as I waited! I returned to Tom's a week later to make some minor adjustments and I was met with a smile! They were more than happy to assist me, taking care of the modifications right then and there. I am not a professional and will never be. I'm a mother of two who has decided to start chipping away at her bucket list. I cannot thank the staff at Tom's enough. They are supportive, knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. They treat you as a person, not as a dollar amount. Their main objective is to make sure that you get the most out of the ride that you are looking for. I have absolutely no complaints, I have zero regrets, and I'm confident that I will be successful through their guiding efforts. I have already been on the bike a few times thanks to a stationary rider, and I flat out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a fitting with Tom on 10/30/23. Itās been a little over a month and wanted to share my experience and thoughts since the initial fitting.
I should preface my review with the fact that I am a relatively novice rider. I mainly commuted to work and attempted to steal local strava KOMās. I had no idea of how adjustable a bicycle could be. I began using an indoor trainer and began trying to chase down various points of pain, soreness, and discomfort. I found anything approaching 1 hour became unbearable. I started a training plan and began with an FTP of 169W.
As for the fitting, I met with Tom. I found him extremely knowledgeable and personable. He quickly assessed my concerns and begun to address each pain point I had. He also swapped out a stem at no additional charge. I found the whole thing to be informative and interesting.
When I returned to the trainer I found most of my pain and aches had been alleviated. I also found I had a soreness in my left knee. Tom had mentioned that people can get use to poorest of fits and changes may cause some discomfort as your body gets use to it. The pain had gone away after a few days and hasnāt returned yet. I continued the training plan for another 4 weeks. I was able to complete all sessions comfortably. A once tortuous endeavor. My final FTP test resulted in 241W. I have no doubt that the fitting I received was crucial to my massive improvement. I have no idea how much I was leaving on the table due to my initial poor fit.
I cannot recommend this...
