Being someone who has worked on electronics since the age of 6, I can easily say the employees of this location never cease to annoy me with their avid love for making excuses to not do their jobs. I've been in this location a number of times and their geek squad department is fantastic at giving you a run around. This location has sold me a faulty router AND a faulty video card, refused to take them back, instead gave me excuses and then blamed me for them selling me faulty garbage.
The router they sold me and highly suggested (I only purchased it because it was the only one reasonably priced, and I see now.. it's trash) constantly drops signal. It's designed to hold multiple devices, it will drop signal every 24 hours without fail if you have more then 2 devices running on the WiFi. At first I thought I just bought a refurbished one they tried passing off as new, NOPE. Come to find out that particular model router, even said by the manufacturer, is faulty. Best Buy, of course, sells it and their associates promote it as a top seller. My playstation 4 won't even connect through it via LAN.
The Graphics Processing Unit BestBuy sold me online was also garbage, worked one time, after that the fans wouldn't activate, the only thing that turned on was the LED to show it was receiving power. I ran tests on ALL my hardware on my machine, and everything else worked perfectly, booted up fine no POST errors. I inserted the GPU, my machine won't even start. I brought it to best buy, and they wanted me to bring my whole rig in to test one of their random cards on my perfectly working machine, instead of taking their faulty garbage back to test it, instead they actually had the audacity to swear that there was nothing wrong with the GPU without even looking at it and blamed my machine which works perfectly (without that trash card) ???
Yeah this location is full of people that are there because it's a job, they know absolutely NOTHING about the products they are selling to people. Make sure you have your cellphone ready to actually look up the products if you have no choice but to go to this location, don't trust the sales people because they're just there to make a buck...
Read moreThis is about my interaction with the store manager Joe. Back in Oct Best Buy had a buy one get one on the note 10 if you had unlimited data. I was mid cycle and walked in needed an upgrade on my line, add another line, drop a different line and put all lines on an unlimited plan. the upgrade and the add a line happened but the bump up to unlimited didn't, which disqualified me from the bogo. It took until this billing cycle to see that I wasn't on unlimited.
Went in to best buy and asked to speak to a manager. Joe gets called over , I tell him whats up and his only response is that I have to call the carrier. I state that it was a best buy deal not an ATT deal, as ATT corporate wasn't running the deal at the time. He refuses to call or even look at my account and just tells me I gotta call. I leave after saying "alright but this isn't right" he sarcastically wishes me a happy holiday, to which I respond that I'm gonna call corporate. His response is "I hope you do." I go outside to look up ATT and call them but since I'm out of data I can't get google to load due to throttling.
I go back in and ask the gentleman up front if he could be cool and look up ATT's number for me. As he is doing that (and providing the most customer service I got the entire visit) Joe comes back over unprompted and asks what is up. I tell him that since I have no data I had asked the other gentleman to look up the number for me. Joe spits out the Best Buy number and I tell him no I need the ATT, and say even though it's probably not gonna help as I used to work for them. He responds with then you should know the number. I tell him it's not funny and he says I'm not laughing before walking away. After spending another half hour of my time dealing with ATT trying to correct Best Buy's mistake, I was told I may or may not get the credit I was due, I have to wait for my case to be reviewed. I reached out to a friend who works at Best Buy asking for the store manager's contact info to report Joe only to find out that he is the actual...
Read moreI ordered both a dishwasher and a gas range. Both were supposed to show up on The same day. Nothing when we were ordering was on back order. Two days later they changed my delivery date for one of the items. I had a plumber coming so I had to change the date. Date was changed the second time. They also say they will price match the stove had been lowered by $100 so we went down to the store I had the screenshots and a screen recording of the item being on discount. We had called that day but the call was dropped on their end. So I went down the next day and was told that they were not going to honor the price match because it must have been a flash sale and was no longer on sale. We waited at the store for 45 minutes for them to tell us what was going on with the delivery only to be told that corporate would be calling us and that the stove had to be made by order for us specifically which is pure BS and Insanity. I showed them where I could buy it from another store locally and have it delivered in 2 days. We left after 45 minutes with no answers and we're told that corporate would be calling is in a half an hour. That call never happened We ended up calling the next day and we're still told that they were going to have to call us back They were trying to figure out the details. A few days later we ended up calling back on the weekend and canceling the range. I ordered it from another store and it was delivered before the dishwasher. The day before the delivery for the dishwasher they still had not fixed everything They thought they were delivering both a stove and dishwasher we had to tell them again that we had the cancellation and the number for the cancellation. It has been over a week and we still have not been refunded for the cancellation of the range We are still being...
