Old Navy — Local services in Town of New Hartford

I bought two pairs of linen pants that from the store that fit beautifully when I tried them on. I went home and washed both pairs as I always do with new clothing. I wore one of the pants and within a few hours they started stretching and I constantly had to keep readjusting the tie to keep them up. By the end of the day they were so baggy and sliding down I cannot wear them. I went to the store and explained the situation and was told once they are worn they will not take them back. I’m not sure how I would know they would be falling off me by the end of the day without wearing them but … okay. So I basically handed old navy money to give them a paycheck as I am out two pairs of pants. Today, December 14, 2022, I attempted to return two pairs of men's jeans to Old Navy in New Hartford, NY. The jeans were ordered on October 30, 2022 and received on November 3, 2022. They were for my husband and didn't fit at all. The quality of the jeans was actually not great. My return my denied because Old Navy has started a 30-day return policy, and it's 30 days from your order date, not the received date. I was clearly surprised that the store wouldn't take back the merchandise that was still in it's original packaging with all tags. It was also implied that because the jeans are an online exclusive that the store most definitely wouldn't have taken the return. I left the jeans at the counter and left the store.

Store was packed with stuff, none of which I would buy. Old Navy has gone down hill in the quality of their clothes and the styles are strictly preteen and teen. I miss the normal low/mid rise boot cut jeans and standard perfect fit tees. Fabrics are cheap and pill easily. I will not be shopping in the store for sure. Staff could care less. One girl at the front that did my online return was very nice and tried to help me find things but no luck. The online things I ordered were online only items. I always wore xl or XXL before but now only some items fit. There was a great light hooded puffer coat. Could not get it zipped up and the arms were too tight with a tank top...
