Hudson Valley Market is like attending a practical treasure hunt. There is something for everyone including some things you didn’t even know you needed. I’ve bought candles, jewelry (new and second hand), a waxed canvas hand bag, custom designed T-shirt, locally grown seedlings and vegetables, as well as delicious treats for me and my dog. There’s always something delicious to eat…food trucks, fresh bread and other cultural delights are available as well. I never leave empty handed. It’s always worth the time and energy to stop in and discover the treasure of the week whether it’s a treat for me or a gift for a friend. It’s a great community event that’s easily accessible. Hudson Valley Open Market is exactly what our community needed! Not just to shop and eat local (though that's major!), it fosters community and is always so much fun! As both a vendor and patron, I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of this endeavor. Dave and Laura put their whole hearts (and a ton of work) into every market day and make sure everyone has a fantastic experience without fail. There's always great food, fresh farm goodies, really cool handmade art and craft vendors, activities for kiddos, opportunities for people and dogs to hang out with friends and make new ones, frequent live music, and heaps of fun.
