Perfect Computer Solutions Inc. — Local services in Town of New Paltz

My experience from start to finish was flawless. There are some old reviews on Google and other review platforms, but Perfect Computer Solutions is 100% under new management since those reviews were posted.

I brought in my computer as soon as I noticed an issue (water damage). I called ahead and they were at the office waiting for me. I received a quote at the start that was under any Apple quote I could find online, and it was honored for start to finish. They were honest about the time it would take, and followed up/answered my calls whenever I had any questions, and they kept me updated the whole time. They were able to backup my computer after restoring it, and gave me the backup on the hard drive as soon as it was ready. I'm not sure if anyone's had an experience with apple and data recovery, but my experience with Perfect Computer solutions is the exact opposite of what would happen at an Apple store. I'm pretty sure I've had my phone/computer wiped every time I've taken them into the Apple store.

It took this place over a month to "figure out" what was wrong with my computer, when I only needed a new screen. I'm a college student, I can't go without my computer for more than a month. The workers are lazy. They never called me to let me know the status on my computer, they waited until I called them to ask me if they could order the screen. They didn't even call me when my computer was ready. When I first dropped off my computer they told me it would be ready in a week and that it would cost $85, but when I called back a week later, they told me that they hadn't ordered the screen yet and that it was gonna cost $177. Horrible service. Extremely unprofessional. Extremely overpriced. The store is a mess and the receptionist and one of the workers were arguing when I picked my computer up. Carlos repaired my MacBook after it randomly stopped powering up. I initially went to the Apple for help, where I was brushed off for several hours, despite having an appointment, only to finally be quoted a ridiculous “flat rate” without diagnosis of the issue needing repair.

Carlos updated me every step of the way and was able to explain the issue and repair in a way that I could understand and appreciate.

Despite the repair requiring several replacement parts, the work was completed quickly and my machine is now back home and running beautifully.
