While shopping I was approached 3 different times by employees each asking me to sign up for a store credit card. This was extremely frustrating and disruptive. By far the most uncomfortable I have felt while shopping, it felt as if I were at a used car lot.
After declining the first 3 requests (in a 20 minute period), I proceeded to checkout, only to be asked once again to sign up for the store credit card. At this point, it felt less like a shopping experience and more like an interrogation. I understand that credit card offers are part of your business model, but this constant and aggressive push is both unprofessional and uncomfortable for customers.
What was most concerning, however, was employees discussing an internal competition to sign up the most customers for credit cards that month. I was simply trying to shop for clothes, and instead, the store felt like a BANK with teenagers walking around asking for your social security number on an iPad.
I strongly believe that customers should not be ambushed while shopping for clothes. This experience left me frustrated and uncomfortable, and it significantly detracted from what should have been a straightforward...
