Read moreI purchased a pair of sunglasses for my Dad for his birthday. They unfortunately did not fit his face shape so he opted to return them and exchange them for another pair. However, apparently, according to the staff at this store, they were damaged goods, although never being worn, other than him trying them on in front of the mirror and putting them back in the box. Apparently, there was a slight misalignment of the lens which I am 100 percent certain was the condition of the sunglasses when sold to us. I returned to the store with my Dad to sort this out, seeking out the salesman who I bought the sunglasses from. I should add, this senior salesman, Alex, had a very stern, and uninviting demeanor even when I first went in to buy the glasses. He sat down to inspect the "damaged" sunglasses and himself could not see what was wrong with them until someone informed him of the lens misalignment. He then insisted that we had broken the shades since he believes there is no reality where he could have made a mistake and gave us a slightly defective pair. Either he purposely sold me a defective pair, thinking he could get away with tricking a young buyer, or he just made an honest mistake, either way he should have owned up to it instead of accusing us of damaging the product. I'm not even really as upset with him as I am with the other staff who tried to dismiss me out of the store as soon as I walked in. I had to insist to speak to Alex about this matter. The other staff were treating me like trash not worthy of entering their store, although I had a genuine matter to discuss as a recent buyer. I really found the demeanor of the front door man, Gary, to be explicitly rude and condescending. It took a lot of frustrating back and forth with Alex and Christina who reluctantly offered to fix the defective pair and allow us to exchange them for another pair of our liking. The experience at this store was honestly appalling. The people who work here are not interested in pleasing their customers, instead they view them as a burden not worthy of their presence. It's very strange, considering most luxury boutiques, in my experience, really take care of their customers and at the least attempt to work with them to arrive at a solution. I experienced nothing but antagonism from the staff. What should've been a very simple exchange turned out to be quite the ordeal. It is quite unfortunate and a major blemish on the...
Read moreI went into the store to make an exchange. I had purchased a Cartier Love Ring for my girlfriend at another location, knowing I might need to exchange it since I wasn’t sure of her size. The associate at the original location informed me that I would need both the receipt and the certificate for any exchange or return.
When I arrived at this location, the guard greeted me halfway outside the store, asking how he could help me. This immediately annoyed me, as he could have at least waited for me to enter the store before engaging.
I was then approached by Nicole. I began to explain that I wanted to make an exchange, but before I could finish my sentence, she interrupted me, asking if I had the documentation. I told her I had everything that was provided to me at the time of purchase. She interrupted me again regarding the documentation, so I handed her exactly what I was given. Rather than trying to assist or provide a solution, she immediately stated that I would not be able to make the exchange because I was missing an invoice. I tried to explain that I was never given one, but she cut me off again and bluntly said I could not proceed with an exchange.
Since she offered no alternative, I ended up repurchasing the ring with the correct size, planning to return the original one at the first location.
I understand there may have been a miscommunication at the original store regarding the return and exchange policy, as well as an oversight in providing all the necessary documents. However, the issue here is that Nicole made no effort to assist or find a solution. Her demeanor clearly showed that she did not want to help. Word of advice, at least pretend you’re willing to help, even if you have no intention to do so. It’ll go a long way in your career.
She eventually handed me off to a woman named Wendy McGoldrick, who was very pleasant and helpful during the purchase of the new ring size. Wendy was warm, sincere, and made the experience much better. My rating is not based on my interaction with Wendy, she was wonderful. This feedback is solely regarding my interaction...
