I never write reviews, this is my first ever making a statement. This store is completely RUDE, TREAT WHITE PEOPLE BETTER THAN DIVERSE GROUP TOWARDS ASIAN AND COLOR PEOPLE. AND MOST IMPORTANT DISRESPECTFUL AND RACIAL GROUP!
On March 15th,
I would like to express my concerning situation that I felt judged and being racially MISTREATED. I DECIDED NOT TO BUY ANYTHING AT THE STORE, I felt disgusted and disrespected by an older women (whoâs caucasian, blonde yellow hair short headed, skinny)
Example:
My best friend told me she roll her eyes and being very rude. I was in the changing room and I heard the old lady with blonde yellowish hair "What's your name to white young girls" and every time they came out of the fitting room, the old lady was complimenting them. My best friend literally inform me the fact she ignored me because of my color and judge me without considering the consequences. She inform she treated me differently compared to young white girls, she should GET FIRED!
She treated HER OWN RACE (caucasian) WITH RESPECT AND KNOWLEDGE. SHE NEVER ONCE ASK MY NAME and I came out once, we saw each other eyes and she ignored me disgusting eyes and TALK TO HER YOUNG CO WORKERS. I NEEDED HELP but I ask my best friend!!! SHE WAS VERY INAPPROPRIATE AND TREATING COLOR IN A DISRESPECTFUL WAY.
We understand that color people will always be look down on, disrespect, and judge because we are not Caucasian - WHITE. The WHITE HAVE MORE PRIVILEGES IN THEIR EYES COMPARE TO RACIAL GROUP IF YOU SEE THEM IN STORE. You should know there are RACIAL GROUP WHO HAVE MONEY AS WELL, itâs JUST YOU BEING A RACIST. HOWEVER, do not judge a RACE AND CULTURE BASED ON IF THERE PRIVILEGE OR NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My corporate HR friend who works at Lululemon told me to REPORT this OLD WHITE BLONDE women, and she literally was being like sheâs TREATING YOU DIFFERENT BECAUSE YOUR ASIAN AND NOT WHITEâŠ..!!!!
I love the company lululemon (multiple items) but after that incident EVERYONE WHO IS COLOR PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE, YOU WILL BE TREATED DIFFERENTLY COMPARED TO CAUCASIAN - WHITE. There is multiple lululemon store (Roosevelt, Tanger Outlet, etc). YOU LOST A BIG CUSTOMER!!!
If you do NOT CHANGE YOUR WAYS TOWARDS YOUR VISITORS AND KEEP TREATING PEOPLE UNEQUAL BASED ON WHO IS WHITE WITH GRACE AND TREATING ASIAN AND COLOR PEOPLE DISRESPECT AND JUDING BASED ON THEIR RACE. SHAME ON YOU, SHAME ON YOU!! LET SAY IT ONE MORE TIME SHAME ON YOU, WHITE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: I noticed, the manager or whoever own this google review have never respond to any of the reviews. This makes it even more they are prominent who have privileged WHITE PEOPLE. Most google reviews if you go to a mall or restaurants, usually there's a customer rep who will respond to google reviews.
UPDATE: THEY DELETED MY COMMENT 10TIMES!!!!!
PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS AND I hope a solution comes across! I hope you can confront them and report them, please WRITE A REVIEW or report to CORPORATE HR THEY...
Read moreThis past Thursday I experienced blatant discrimination at this store. I walked in after a group of women who were greeted while I was ignored. From the moment I stepped further in the store all eyes were on me. Employees followed behind and in front of me with side eye glances but never offered help. One nearly knocked into me to rush and assist a white customer without apologizing. Two others hovered by me with a fake loud conversation to make it clear I was being watched.
In the fitting room the short haired employee greeted others but when I approached she turned her back, pretended to take a call, swung one of the dressing room doors open and ignored me. When I came back to the main floor all staff were grouped up front staring again. Two employees even stood at the entrance blocking it until other customers left. Later in clearance I was cornered with two women on one side, a male âfixingâ clothes on the other, and another standing across glaring at me. I felt unsafe and profiled.
When I asked for a manager the same woman who had been following me revealed herself. She made excuses, tried to gaslight me that it âwasnât like that,â and only after I explained what I do for work did she change her tone. The moment I confronted her all employees suddenly began pretending to work and the ones blocking the door moved away. Whats funnier, the same guy who cornered me was rich enough to tell me to have a good day on my way out. I guess they do know hospitality after all!
To the tall blonde manager shame on you for encouraging this behavior. And to the one Black employee who allowed it double shame on you. Do not think they wonât turn around and profile you too. For a store in a luxury mall this was humiliating and disgraceful. Even locations in less diverse areas treat people better. I will be filing complaints with Lululemon corporate and the BBB. I will never...
Read moreI drove 30 minutes to the Lululemon in Manhasset after being told over the phone that I had to return my items in-store (not by mail) because I had paid part cash and part credit, and could only get the cash refund in person. When I got there, the male cashier didnât look closely at my receipt and refunded the full amount to my card, even though over $300 of it was originally paid in cash.
When I pointed out the mistake, a female employee stepped in and immediately told me there was nothing they could do since the return had already been processed. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unapologeticâeven though she admitted it was their mistake. I asked if they could simply recharge the card and refund me properly in cash, and she said no without any effort to help, acting like she just wanted me out of the store.
I later called Lululemon customer service, who confirmed I should have been recharged and refunded properly and offered me a $30 credit for the troubleâunlike the store, which offered nothing.
Mistakes happenâbut being treated like an inconvenience when youâre just trying to correct their error is unacceptable. Overall, a frustrating, time-wasting experience with unhelpful and disrespectful service. I expected much better...
