Michaels — Local services in Town of Oneonta

I am thrilled that we finally got another choice for craft supplies in Oneonta. However, I feel that we need to have the addition of fabrics, notions and related sewing products to this store. Oneonta, with a population of 20,000, needs to have this. I have spoken to the staff and written to Michaels via the website on this subject. On opening day the staff did say that I was not the only one to suggest this. No response from the corporation (no surprise) and the staff can't do much but I hope they would pass the suggestion along to the powers that be. Separately, my experience in the store with the staff is lackluster. They seemed more interested in talking with each other...

Not as good of a selection as the other Michael's stores that I'm used to. No separate craft room for parties or events once they host them - you're going to be out on the main shopping floor. Who wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a party that puts you and your guests out as a spectacle for shoppers? Smaller bead selection, fewer choices for kid's crafts. Not as in stock as other michaels. Curbside pick up only has two spots and it's very very slow. Waited in the car so long I just went in the store and got my stuff.
