Rent-A-Center — Local services in Town of Oneonta

My mom has a furniture on with them but she can’t pay it so they’ve been calling me to receive payments. Her loan is due on the 5th of every month. I had a major surgery 4/5 and received multiple calls during the time I literally was under anesthesia. On 4/6 I was still in the hospital and called the Oneonta RAC and politely told them I just had a major surgery but would call them that upcoming Monday to arrange payment for my mom since I was still in recovery by and under observation. The only thing the employee named Stephanie had to say was “well then there will be a late fee”

This place will harass you with phone calls like loan sharks and take advantage of you. After this loan is finished getting paid off I will be making sure my mother or anyone I know ever used this RAC or any RAC again.

in response to the comment below about calling RAC to resolve the issue. I did. I spoke to a gentleman that was very kind who said he would amend the issue. Then the next month came around and the same woman who called not caring that I just had a major surgery called me in the middle of my workday to ask for their money. My opinion still stands. I had a contract for bi-weekly. Not weekly. Tomorrow would of been my Bi-weekly. I guess they dont know how to count 2 weeks. It is a 14 days. Dave does not listen to the customer. PLEASE don't waste your time or energy on Rent A Center thinks they are above the law they think they can trespass on people's properties and borderline harassment whenever they feel is necessary they act all nice in the store but have no respect when it comes down to there payments. You should not have to explain every little think to these people it's no one's business but your own.
