Tree of Chocolate — Local services in Town of Orangetown

I found this little shop while walking down Main Street looking for a restaurant to eat dinner. The shop itself was kind of neat looking so I decided to stop in. The restaurant was very clean and the display looked fantastic. the girl behind the counter was very friendly and willing to offer suggestions on which things to try. I have paid $2 per chocolate on several occasions and I've never been disappointed, but this time it was just okay. The flavors were not that varied and unless you chose a berry vs ganache vs caramel filling, they tasted a lot alike. Overall just an average chocolate experience. I purchased 10 pieces for $21.

My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star...

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. The shop itself is cool with unique chocolate/gifts. The actual chocolate from the case, however, were disappointing. We purchased chocolates with cookies and cream pieces on top and ended up throwing them out. The cookie pieces were definitely old/stale. Multiple people tried a bite and we all felt that something was wrong with them and agreed they were inedible. We also purchased some peanut butter cups and chocolate covered marshmallows that were average, at best. It might be OK to purchase the prepackaged chocolate/gifts from here, but I can’t recommend any of the chocolate...

PROS: This shop always has a nice staff and is conveniently located in the heart of Nyack. They have a huge variety of chocolate of all different types and they're clean

CONS: The place is cramped so its hard to move around when people are in it and the chocolate is overpriced. I understand its good quality chocolate but I don't think the prices are where they're suppose to be

OVERALL: I would come to this shop and get something if it was a gift for someone that loves chocolate. As for getting something for myself, not quite sure...
