I dined at this establishment, and my experience was far from satisfactory. While I appreciate the effort to include traditional design elements, the execution left much to be desired. The utensils were wrapped in a napkin with a traditional embroidered holder, which initially seemed like a nice touch. However, the cutlery itself was poorly cleaned, as visible in the images. For a restaurant, this is unacceptable and unhygienic. The plate provided had noticeable stains and residue, which clearly hadn’t been properly washed. This shows a lack of attention to basic cleanliness standards. The waiter attending our table did not speak or understand English, making it extremely difficult to communicate even basic requests. This lack of language proficiency in a service role was frustrating and unprofessional. I expected a higher level of care and professionalism. Cleanliness should be a top priority, and having staff who can communicate with customers is essential. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of expectations. I cannot recommend this place unless significant improvements are made

Beautiful decor, delicious food and attentive service - dining here becomes an unforgettable experience. My son and I had Beet Carpaccio as a starter; he ordered Holubcy and I asked for vegetarian Varennyky (our lovely waitress recommended potato and sauerkraut). When my dish turned up in an artful arrangement, the waitress suddenly apologized that she had forgotten that I was vegetarian, and put the signature Ukrainian lard on top :-). She took it back and shortly returned with a fully vegetarian version. The white sauce with dill in my son's dish looked and smelled really good, and since it didn't mix with the meat, I scooped some from his plate and tasted it. It was heavenly! We ordered Monastyrska Hata as our dessert. When it turned up, the large size shocked us, and we both said we couldn't finish it. But as soon as we dug into it, we couldn't stop eating! All throughout our dinner, I kept sending photos to my Ukrainian pianist, the last caption being "this dessert is to die for!" The food is very rich, and one meal is enough to savor for many days :-)

Recently, we held a family/friends event at this cozy restaurant that we discovered by chance. Since we are originally from Ukraine, we know a thing or two about Ukrainian cuisine. It’s hard to overstate what an amazing place its owner, Ivanka, a mother of three, has created in just over a year. The food is incredibly delicious. The mushroom soup is absolutely extraordinary from the first spoonful, and the nalysnyky, varenyky, and Chicken Kyiv are all on par with the finest restaurants, but at reasonable prices. They have bread from Ukraine — you must try it, as nothing like that is baked in America. For those who love salo, theirs is from Ukraine and is exceptionally tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this little corner of Ukraine on the Hudson. It will be a journey into the rich and ancient history of Ukrainian cuisine.

Great Place!!! Me and my Girlfriend Oleksandra have been to the "Corner of Ukraine" in Nyack several times since they opened and every time it has been a fantastic experience.

Oleksandra is originally from Ukraine, and I'm very fortunate she happens to be a fantastic cook who prides herself on preparing authentic Ukrainian dishes at home and she is very picky when it comes to Food in general, That being said, she and I Love the Food Here. In her opinion "The Best and most Authentic Ukrainian food she has had in a restaurant in the United States in the 30 years she has lived hear"

The selection of food from appetizers to soup, salads, main-course and desserts along with the very nice selection of Ukrainian & Polish Wines and Beers is extensive and has something for everyone's taste. Some of our favorite dishes are the Chicken Liver mousse, One Meter Kovbasa, Borscht and Goulash soups, Potato Pancakes, Stuffed Cabbage, Chicken Kyiv, Braised pork with beer sauce and the desserts are all amazing.

The service is excellent with very friendly and attentive waiters and waitresses.

The interior is very Bright, Clean and Airy adorned with beautiful authentic Ukrainian embroidery work, the waiters and waitresses are in traditional Ukrainian wardrobes and Ukrainian music plays softly in the background providing a very welcoming, comfortable and relaxed laid back atmosphere.

That being said, this is one of our new favorite restaurants. The Food, Service and  Authentic / Modern Ukrainian Ambiance all combine for a great experience that...

Ok so I heard about this place awhile back. My grandmother was from Ukraine and she left with her family before WW2. We never ate Ukrainian food growing up so I figured I try it with my brother and mother. We weren’t very hungry and just wanted to try some of the potato dumplings. We planned on sharing an order of 5 and taking it to go. At first the two hostess were friendly (one more so than the other). and one even joked to buy more dumplings (as I initially was going to by 5) and then decided to order 8. One hostess was nice to say we can sit as we wait, the other hostess was giving me dirty looks for some unknown reason. But I didn’t think much of it until later. Finally after about 15-20 minutes wait, we get the food and my mother asks one of the hostess who gave the food to us if she added any napkins. It’s obvious that there is three of us and we ordered it together with her. There is one napkin and one fork. When my mom asked for some napkins, her reply is you can get some from the table and gave an even more obvious rolling eyes gesture. I mean come on really? I’ve been a bus boy and I know this is not standard practice is any restaurant. While it may seem trivial it just downright unprofessional. It doesn’t matter if I order a $14 item and take it to go or sit down and spend $100, it’s just not right. Other than someone needing an attitude check, the food was good. But unfortunately I will not return...

(Message to the owners) This is Maximus, son of the Teacher from Manhattan.(lol) I genuinely cannot thank you all enough for the amazing experience we had tonight. The warmth it brought to me and my family is unlike any restaurant before.Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality and kindness we'll be sure to come again.

(Review) This restaurant is unlike anything I've ever had. I came with my parents and we all agreed it was some of, if not the best food we've ever had. I ordered their main burger, (The: Corner of Ukraine) I don't know how they did it but they topped all of my favorite burger joints. Everything about it from the cheese to the beet sauce, not forgetting what felt like an entire salad on the bottom of the burger elevated it to a step above everywhere else. But what really convinced me of this places' quality was something as simple as fried potatoes, I'm a decent cook but I know for a fact I cant make something that simple taste so good. As for everything else we ate, it was absolutely bursting with flavor, every bite from start to finish was unique. And for all that they deserve a full 5 stars, could not...
