My ABS light was on and traction control light on my 2008 Ford Edge. I took my truck to Valone and asked if they could fix it, thsy said they would diagnosis and work with my warranty company, after having it 24 hours the manager called me with the diagnosis. He said I had a bad o-ring and abs sensor and my warranty company won't cover it. He said he needed $850 from me if I wanted it fixed. I called my warranty company they said that this was not true, valone had called them and said that they did not want to work on the truck... then why did they diagnose it??????? All they did was regurgitate exactly what I told them was wrong. I had asked ahead of time if they were willing to do the work and they told me they were.. I pick up my vehicle on a Friday before work leaving the bill of $95 there until after work when I cashed my paycheck; by Saturday at 8 a.m. the manager was leaving me threatening messages on my voicemail!!!! This got me curious; why was he was in such a rush to get his $95 for doing absolutely nothing??? I smelt scam!! Wednesday I took it to a reputable shop right down the road, they have me drop it off on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. I called back at 4 p.m. to see what their diagnosis was, they said my o-ring was totally missing on my axle, that they had replaced the axle and my truck was ready to be picked up. All I owed was the $100 deductible on my warranty which I happily paid when I picked up my truck. The manager just called me again demanding his money; I informed him that he misdiagnosed my truck and to send me a bill and I will dispute it... it saddens me how they tried to take advantage of me, I'm a single mother working two jobs to keep; a home, vehicle and food on the table for my family... Sadly...
Read moreWas traveling across country, and this was a spot where I needed to change more oil and rotate my tires. Thankfully, Fredonia Ford was able to get me in with about a days notice and get the job done in an hour or so. Unfortunately, I started driving the truck back across the country. Somewhere in Indiana, I hit some major traffic that caused me to slow down to a crawl and that’s when the smoke started pouring out from under the hood of my brand new 2024 F250. I opened the hood to see that the tech at Fredonia Ford had left the fill cap off the valve cover and at highway speeds the oil had puked out of the fill port and literally was everywhere. Now, with me stopped, a small fire ensued where the oil was dripping on the exhaust which I was able to put out quickly with my fire extinguisher. A call to Fredonia Ford didn’t elicit the kind response I expected, especially since I was miles from the dealership with no idea how much oil had come out my engine. After inspecting the engine and undercarriage to see how much oil had come out, I found the Oil cap perched above the engine where the tech had left it. I was a little over a quart low and after looking at a few Gas stations for the right kind of oil to put back in the engine, I found a Ford dealership that was able to add the correct type and amount of oil. Fredonia Ford never offered any Assistance, refund, nothing. I hate to say it, but if you take your truck there, check their work....
Read moreThe Sales dept was spot on! Very easy to work with, fully aware of what I wanted and did not want, very happy with the buying experience … The service department on the other hand is very sub par… they got my car right in when I suddenly had an issue with my car, which was great. But, overall they had my car for 21 days, had a part “overnighted” and never heard from them again for 14 days, when I got updates on the part that was ordered, was delayed from one warehouse due to weather, then part # got changed and then coming from an entirely different warehouse in another part of the country, delayed again because of weather there. But not once did they call me to give me updates on any of this, it was not until my husband stopped in 2 full days after i was told the part was in by this 3rd party, and he told them it will be done by the end of that day … it was… but the problem is still not resolved …. I had asked for a loaner car twice and was told “we don’t have any” I’m not sure how you can honestly not communicate with customers what is happening with their vehicles that they just purchased from your dealership and expect them to come back … Because I will not. I have since taken my car to a different dealership, who miraculously had a line of loaner cars on their lot for service customers, but they found the problem after some very detailed notes of what was done and not done from Fredonia Ford, and it was fixed!!!! no...
