This review is for the Sub Station at Tuscany Fresh Meats and Deli not the entire store.
Worst customer service I have ever encountered. We do not live in the area and stopped here to get some subs before going to where we are staying for our visit. The sub station closes at 8pm, we were in line by 7:35pm. We had to wait a bit while they were helping the people in front of us. When it was our turn the girl behind the counter asked what we'd like. She said they were "about" to stop taking hot orders. Since she said they were ABOUT to stop, I told her I wanted a NY Cheese steak sub which is a hot sub. She told me that she was no longer taking those order...to which I said "You said you were "about" to stop not that you had stopped" and someone else said "That's what you said". She then turns around and asks a gentleman behind her... He says that they USUALLY turn off the ovens around 7:45pm. I said "So, you have not turned them off yet?" He said "No, but I am after these 2 sandwiches" (which was from the people that ordered before us). I repeated, "but you have not turned them off yet". He said "No, not yet but I will after these ones". The time then was 7:48pm and he still had the oven on waiting on the subs he had just made. They basically refused to make my hot sub even thought they had not turned off the ovens yet. We, then, walked out and purchased our 5 meals from a nearby competitor (a total cost of about $60).
Most places, with good customer service in mind would have said "Sure, the oven is still on! We will take care of...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile Fredonia, New York, is no haven of extraordinary eateries or palaces for food lovers, Tuscany Market stood out as a potential diamond in the rough. On the first appearance, the market looks acceptable, with shelves stocked with high-quality groceries, produce, and meats. They boast of fresh deli meats and homemade sausages, which is apparent. However, I have never had service so slow, confusing, and disappointing as I had today. An employee fired mid-shift, over a 45-minute wait, and everyone who ordered after us pleasantly enjoying their food as we watched, disappointed and disrespected. The woman behind the counter spoke with a gravel-harsh tone when I kindly requested an update on the status of my sandwich. With all this said, the eventual finished product was a solid and fresh bite. When passing through the desolate, rather bare Fredonia, Tuscany Market may only appear on a food tour if: you have an hour to burn or the parking...
