At Home — Local services in Town of Poughkeepsie

This place is a scam. They have At Home stickers that are covered up with higher price tickets! So I don’t know if it’s just the Poughkeepsie store that’s trying to steal money from the company or what, but this place is a complete sham. There were several items I picked up today that had little white price stickers covering the At Home ones, but the price way easy to see underneath it. So I peeled off the stickers and sure enough, the original prices were several dollars cheaper. For example, a large planter that they put on sale for 50% off had an At Home sticker on it for $54.99, but then they stuck a $60.99 sticker over it. Another planter I picked up had an $18.99 sticker over a $16.99 one. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Not to mention all of their products are the same or lower quality than HomeGoods and Hobby Lobby, but for far more money....

The only reason this even has 2 stars is because of an older gentleman that works there I didn’t catch his name, but he’s on the more macular side and hope he gets recognition. BUT other than him my experience was n absolute 0 there is a front end employee that is rude, disrespectful and impatient as well as makes inappropriate remarks name JAKE. Rushes the check out process even though literally NO ONE was in line, AND literally dropped each item from about 3feet/tossed them to the side.. IF YOU DONT WANT A JOB DO NOT APPLY ! The ENTITLEMENT IS UNREAL… Deff just going to HOMEGOODS for now on.. my family and I gave this play a try because we were passing by but honestly JAKE has ruined it for us it’s disappointing though not going to lie because the store had some cool...

Went to go buy a display model table. I asked an associate for a discount, and we verbally agreed on a price. I then disassembled the entire thing by myself with no help & brought it up front only for the manager to disagree with the price I was promised and tried getting me to pay over 100 dollars more for it. I wouldn't have spent 30 minutes taking it apart if I didn't agree on the price with the associate. At the end, he looks at me and goes "didn't seem like you wanted it anyway". Excuse me? I will not be coming back. Not to mention every employee there looked at me like I was an alien when I was doing something myself that they should have been...
