Northern Lights Shopping Center — Local services in Town of Salina

There is a pet shop supply store here that offers everything you would need for cats, dogs, birds, or fish along with gerbils, mice, ferrets, and rabbits. Christmas tree shop is here and a hot-dog type fast food restaurant. There is a Payless shoes, a GameStop store off in the far corner, and a GNC vitamin shop as well as a hair salon. But the best place in this plaza is Paladinos Pizza which has been here for a long time. I've been going here for years. Since before the sons took over the restaurant from the old lady who is extremely friendly and a pleasure to talk to when she is there. The pizza is pretty much the best is Syracuse and maybe the best in the country and I am not just saying that to say it. I highly recommend ordering from this place. There used to be a media play here when they were in business and if you remember this place from a very long time ago it used to be an inside strip mall you could walk around in and all the shops entrances were inside the mall but they since removed that part and extended each shop out to the sidewalk which is a shame as me and my mom used to just walk around inside here when I was very young. Even though there isn't as many stores in there as there used to be it really has held its own over the years. Christmas Tree Shop is thriving along with Party City and Petco. They have recently added the Flaming Grill Buffet which is decent. It's a good location for the armed forces recruiting offices as well. I've never really been in Olums. Hoffman Hot Haus was a family favorite for years. Sad to see it left unoccupied all this time. Nice little location. Payless Shoe Source was also a good thing to have close by before they went out and TJ Max. Would love to see some other up and coming stores go into those spots and the old Media Play store. So sad all that...

I use to Love Northern lights, I could not believe my eyes there are a handful of stores left, no food court. Many buckets on the floors from leaking room I believe.Of the once Great Great Northern Lights Mall is now on its last leg, as a young teenager back then I had many good times and when I became an adult I enjoyed shopping for lawn, snow, equipment, tools,televisions, shoe and sneakers and clothing and especially loved it during Christmas season. Now getting up in age and soon there will be another mall of the past, like so many other great malls have closed there doors forever. 2 out of 5Stars because I had many...
