I have never been treated so badly. I entered the store, waited for a few minutes while the woman was chatting and laughing. She clearly saw me and never came up until the person she was talking to told her go help the person up in front (he was not an employee there). She was short, condescending and rude to me. She had something I needed because she said they had it in stock and she wouldn't sell it to me unless she could see what it was for. She wanted to be able to look at it and charge me a service call and install for something that did not need her to touch anything. All she needed to do was get the items I needed from the back and bring it to the front so I can pay for it and be on my way. She knew exactly what it was for because she looked it up on the computer and that was exactly what I needed them for. Who does that? It's not her business to touch anything of my. Her job was to sell me what I came in for. The name of this place was given to me from the makers of Razor. I was told by them that this place had the batteries I needed. She just chose not to sell them to me. Her words- "I can't help you unless you bring the scooter back to me while rolling her eyes. "She's a dark souled person." Before I left i said clearly, So you're not going to sell me the batteries I need for the scooter even though you have them in stock? She said NO. I then said WOW! You are rude, mean & nasty. I can't believe a business would not sell me something that they actually have in stock. I will never step foot in this place again and I left. Razor was notified about the incident. BAD BUSINESS In response to reply. They were absolutely not knockoffs and that was an insult to me. I'm not a crooked person. The photos I took were of the exact batteries I needed. They were hand printed with original stickers from the factory when the scooter was built and confirmed by Razor themselves. In response to not charging she told me it was $50 fee to look at it plus the price of the batteries. She told me that you have them and the total would be in the range of $100-$120 (it was a quote from her) because she would put them in that I can't which was where everything went downhill. I had all the information she needed and she was not happy because they were pictures. It wasn't good enough for her. I'm very sorry you feel that way but I was the one that was mistreated not her. I believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated, with a smile and a positive attitude which I did not get from our encounter. If she would have said she didn't have the batteries all would have been good, I would have thanked her and been on my way. The FedEx guy was the one that told her to go help me. She didn't come running to me. He was such a sweet man and said you go help her. I am sure you have cameras in your store. I would be happy to chat with you if you would like...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of a rat or mouse chewing through two pairs of wires under my Whirlpool Dishwasher.. one pair which powered the waste-water pump and the other which powered the water intake pump. Being somewhat handy I spliced the wires back together but was unable to get the unit to fill/empty again. So I made a call to Turnpike Appliance. The tech, Bruce, showed up on time and I explained what my issue was. As soon as I said "mice", I feel like he completely shut down and surrendered any hope of even diagnosing specifically what wasn't working on the dishwasher. He spent more time examining a wiring manual from Whirlpool than he did actually looking at the individual components of the dishwasher. There was only a brief attempt to see if the wiring was carrying power, which according to him, they were not. I was then told "the rat might have gotten inside the unit and chewed through other wires or cables, so your best option is to just replace the dishwasher." The dishwasher was very new, only a little over a year old, and at the cost of $76 for someone just to tell me to get a new dishwasher, the service call was very unfulfilling. The receipt for my bill I received says "WE FIX ANYTHING". Well if anything is nothing, then yes, I suppose they do. I should've paid more attention to the negative reviews here but I didn't want to believe that something couldn't be done to save me another $500 dishwasher purchase over two pairs of chewed wires. I just purchased a new dishwasher from P.C. Richards, not wanting a repeat of what I experienced with Turnpike Appliance. Be aware that their service call techs don't appear to have any specialized skills or knowledge about an appliance you are calling...
Read moreI saw this company had listed a replacement power wheels battery on eBay for $66.99, Instead of ordering it and having it shipped to my house I decided to go to the store to purchase it. I spoke to the owner and asked since I’m picking this up and he would not be paying eBay a commission or paying for shipping if you could take a few dollars off the price of the refurbished battery, He looked at me like I had three heads and began to talk very condescending to me I attempted to walk out and he continued talking telling me how selling on EBay is 30 seconds of work for him yet taking a battery off the shelf and swiping my credit card is a lot of man-hours for him. The customer service is terrible and people don’t appreciate being berated by someone who sells used vacuum cleaners and blenders for a living, He really needs to work on his customer service especially since his line of work is going to be obsolete...
