A True Class Act at Lexus of Smithtown. Caleb, You’re One of One.
From the moment we stepped into Lexus of Smithtown, it was clear we weren’t just walking into another dealership. We were being looked after. And that’s because of Caleb, the Business Development Manager who stepped in like a natural. Even though he isn’t technically a salesman, you wouldn’t know it by the way he handled everything with care, patience, and honesty.
We came in looking for a very specific vehicle. While that exact car wasn’t available, Caleb didn’t try to push us into something that just checked boxes. He took the time to understand our real needs and stayed present through the entire process. He helped us find something comparable that we genuinely love. No fluff. No pressure. Just thoughtful, human-centered support.
What stood out most was that Caleb saw us. Not as customers, not as a transaction, but as people. He picked up on what we didn’t say out loud and moved with intention. His attention to detail was unmatched, and his emotional intelligence made all the difference. He stepped in right when we needed support and made sure we felt confident every step of the way.
This wasn’t just a car purchase. It was a great experience. And that was entirely because of Caleb. Lexus of Smithtown, you’ve got a gem on your team. We’re truly grateful. Caleb at Lexus of Smithtown Made This an Experience, Not Just a Transaction
Even before we stepped foot into the dealership, Caleb was already supporting us. He had been communicating with me over the phone, answering questions, and guiding us through the early stages of the process. From that very first inquiry all the way through the purchase and even after, we felt taken care of.
Caleb may not be a traditional salesman, but he handled everything with a level of care, patience, and professionalism that you don’t see often in this industry. He didn’t just try to sell us something. He took the time to listen, understand what we were really looking for, and made sure we got the best possible deal on a vehicle that met our needs.
What truly stood out was his honesty and the way he made us feel seen. Caleb treated us like people, not customers. He noticed when we had questions, when we hesitated, and when we needed extra support. He didn’t push. He guided. And that made all the difference.
His attention to detail was unmatched. He jumped in exactly where we needed him and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. Even after the deal was done, he stayed in touch to ensure we were happy and everything was smooth.
If you’re thinking about working with Lexus of Smithtown, ask for Caleb. You’ll walk away with more than a car. You’ll walk away feeling like someone truly...
Read moreIncredibly disappointing experience! As a little background, we are a VERY LOYAL LEXUS brand family. In fact, we own 8 LEXUS vehicles between myself, my fiancee, our children, parents and siblings all purchased at LEXUS dealerships NEW or CPO'd! We like to consider ourselves brand ambassadors as we have helped and educated clients & friends in purchasing LEXUS vehicles of their own. It makes me sad to have to write this review! My fiancee had been searching online for over year trying to find me the perfect CPO LEXUS to replace my 2006 RX400H (which I recently gave to my son as first vehicle). We were excited to travel to LEXUS of Smithtown to purchase a CPO 2015 GX460 - Luxury Edition. What was supposed to be my dream car has turned into a nightmare. Although our purchase experience was not horrible it was somewhat disappointing as our sales representative knew what time we were arriving and upon our arrival he was completely overwhelmed and unprepared. He had 2 other sales ahead of us so we had to wait several hours to finally drive off the lot with our "new" car. Upon taking my GX for its' first service we were alerted by our local LEXUS service center they discovered excessive and an abnormal amount of rust under the vehicle, enough so they felt it was their responsibility to show us the undercarriage of the car (see photos). It was very upsetting to know we had purchased a 40K vehicle with only 26,000 miles (that had passed their 161 point CPO inspection) and the dealer did not disclose the extensive amount of rust prior to our purchase. We immediately called our sales representative at Smithtown who put us in touch with the Pre-owned Sales Manager, Matt Cuozzo. Matt's reply was, we did nothing wrong on our end. He also went as far to say, you didn't ask us to put the vehicle on up on a lift if you wanted to see the undercarriage. WHAT?!? We assumed from our past experiences with Lexus dealerships in PA, NJ and CT that LEXUS was a reputable brand. Our experience with LEXUS corporate has also been very disappointing as we feel we are "chasing" customer service representatives for a reply to our formal complaint. I don't know where to go from here other than to hire a lawyer and waste more time and money but I WILL NOT LET THIS GO. We have asked LEXUS of Smithtown to arrange to pick up the vehicle and refund our...
Read moreWent in on a day just to check out what they had available in the lot. And was looking for a specific vehicle and Rob B. directed me to what was available in the colors I liked and explained fully the features of the vehicle along with standard equipment and the capabilities of each one and the packages they come with. Little did I know the one I chose had certain things that were not part of the other packages on the lot and to our surprise the pricing was reasonable and were above my expectations ( I’m not going to say what it is, do your homework). So a negotiated price was made with Rob B. & his Manager and we made a decision & agreed on the price . The sales part of this purchase was zero stress from the dealership Rob and his manager. Other dealers often times go back and forth too many times and are somewhat condescending at times. I did NOT have this experience here . Then I was directed to the financing dept.; Dominique A. was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about products and services that are offered with the sale of the car. And I did get something from them that is worth it for a new car purchase. She also got me a good deal on financing via Toyota/Lexus a competitive rate for my credit score (so remember don’t expect a miracle rate if you have bad credit, it is based on your credit history). Upon getting orientation of the vehicle Rob B. & Omar showed me the tech and other features on the vehicle on my delivery day and were extremely knowledgeable on the features. All in all, this dealership Lexus of Smithtown I was met with professionalism, courtesy and no frills when I was going through the process of my purchase. Just remember to know the vehicle you want, w features you’d like and or don’t need. And make sure your budget be suited for what your credit score calls for if you’re financing so you can get an idea for your monthly payment. And consider your accessories when you’re in financing because a lot of items are pricey and some things or products are can be bought aftermarket but some can void warranties. So DO YOUR Homework. I recommend anyone looking for a Lexus in the NYC check out Lexus...
