This place actually deserves a zero star rating. I'm actually posting this review for my wife, who had the worst experience getting her nails done here. First of all, the customer service is absolutely some of the worst I've seen with my own two eyes. When my wife walked up; a women sitting in her chair (who clearly looked like she didn't want to be there) didn't even budge and in fact proceded to sink into her chair futher, which was odd to begin with...it was a seemingly unfriendly environment from the start. My wife walked In with a gel manicure on her real nails..which were long, the woman apparently soaked her fingers in acetone a bit too long and started peeling at her nails for whatever reason, literally destroying them to the point her nails were no longer then her fingertip...then proceeded to file the rest of her nails that same length, my wife was distraught by the end of all of this as it's difficult for her to grow her nails the length she had them before they performed this hack job. When I looked at my wife's nails after she was done at this nail saloon, we noticed that not only her nails but her FINGERS were painted as well and (If you look at both the photos I posted, you can see for yourself) it quite literally looked like a job done by someone with absolutely no experience and knowledge of nails ....my wife did complain.. even asking the woman to stop peeling her nails while the lady proceeded to do it. they refused to fix her nails afterward to at least make mends to a paying customer...but these people didn't care enough to want to fix her nails. At this point, we realize that not only do these people not know how to do nails, but also demonstrate a lack of decent customer service skills and therefore lack common business sense as well. I suppose you live and you learn but my wife will now NEVER, EVER get her nails done at Da-Vi Nails again. We actually left and my wife paid someone else to fix her nails. Da-Vi Nails was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I would highly recommend avoiding...
Read moreThis is one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to. I have been getting my nails done for over 30 years and am a nail technician myself. Ladies, if you need a tip replaced DO NOT let them rip off the old stuff, it will take off half your own nail underneath (which could result in permanent damage to the nail bed) and hurt the like dickens to boot! They are supposed to soak it off. The only reason for ripping it off is because its quicker. This lady pretends not to know how to do this but if she is licensed (mandatory in the state of NY), she's lying. She just doesn't want to take the time to soak. Anyway, she told me she didnt want to do my nails and asked me to leave because I wouldn't let her rip. LOL she's a joke. Other results from this salon include bubbles in the acrylic which are clearly visible, and an uneven french look due to the fact that she uses the "White tip" to make the illusion of french tips, and just puts clear acrylic over it resulting in a look that can only be described as ....well....a thick coat of clear acrylic with bubbles in it over a white...
Read moreThis was the most horrible experience I ever had in 40 years of having my nails done. First of all it was advertised as a spa pedicure which it was not and I had to tell the girl twice that the water was cold and scrubbing brushes were dirty and there was no massage. The girl was so rough doing my finger nails, that I said no to cuticle removal because I was afraid she would cut me. My nails were left uneven and when I told her so, she said she didn’t know what I wanted even though she spoke English. There was no one in the place but I was rushed and the girl was more interested in watching a show on her phone instead of taking care of me. When she was finished with the pedicure, she told me to put my own shoes on and my manicure got ruined but I was so disgusted, I showed her and left. The owner never had a mask on and the girl that worked on me, wore it beneath her nose. The owner seemed rude, uncaring and the place was unsanitary and should be...
