When my fiancĆ© (now husband) and I first went to The Source we had an amazing shopping experience. The associate was kind and helpful and we got everything we wanted. He ordered a custom personalized wedding band and I ordered a wedding band off their site (which made me nervous but I trusted the associate). My ONLY stipulation was that the wedding band was equal to or greater in width than my engagement ring band. The associate took the measurements and I was confident it would be everything I hoped for. When we went in to pick up ur order his ring was exactly as promised but mine was not. The band was so thin it disappeared under my engagement ring. I signed for the order and we left. I thought that because he was happy with his and mine was technically āfreeā with the sale, Iād sit with it a while and it would be ok. It was not. We called the store and weāre told that because it was a special order they would not take it back. Mind you this ring was not personalized but something they donāt keep in the store. Months go by, I found the perfect ring for me from another jeweler and now itās our wedding day. After the ceremony the photographer asked for our rings to take pictures. The glue from my husbands ring (the insert on the inside was an epoxy design) was literally stuck to his finger and detached from the metal band. He had to cut it off! By the time we finished with wedding, honeymoon and catching up with life a couple months went by before we were able to make it the hour back to the store. We explained the situation. Taking full responsibility for the time it took us it didnāt matter because the return policy gives you 14 days. Well if your purchasing an item for an event thatās months away thereās nothing you can do right? So even though we were 100% unsatisfied with both our purchases the store did nothing! The explained that his ring had a lifetime warranty and ordered a new oneā¦. Why would anyone want a product that is defective within 1 hour of wearing/use?! I will never buy another thing from this establishment. Not will I refer any...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy fiance and I are buying our wedding bands. When we first walked into the store at Eastview mall, we were greated very nicely. The store clerk who was helping us out asked us some questions about what we are looking for. As this was our first time ring shopping, we really didn't have too much in the way of style and design but the one thing we mentioned was price. We didn't want to spend more than a few hundred. The first ring that was shown to me was a 14k rose gold band that was 6mm that I absolutely loved. The clerk puts the info into the tablet to price it out and it comes out to over $1000, way about the price range we had mentioned. We are shown another option for me which was a thin rose gold band with diamonds which she priced out to be just under $300. She advised me that she wasn't sure if the seller was able to make it in the size I needed so she would email them to check and then get back to me, she said Monday or Tuesday. I waiting until that Friday after not hearing anything back and decided to give them a call. On the phone she had mentioned she just got a response and the price of the 2 rings was going to be a little over $400. I asked if that was just the price of my ring and was told it was the price of the two rings, his and mine. Prior to us placing the order, I believe she had mentioned that his ring would be free because his was the cheaper one and there was a deal going on that was BOGO. Once I got the receipt, I see my ring was $300 and his was $150. After dealing with this back and forth we decided it just wasn't worth the effort to question the pricing. Needless to say, I doubt we will be returning to this business for future purchases. I understand I our purchase was not a large valued one, but that shouldn't mean we get swept...
Read moreMy future fiancé and I worked with Michele M. to design a custom engagement ring.
During our first visit, Michele guided us through the different in-store designs. She helped my future fiancƩ try on over 10 rings that day, explaining the nuances in the designs, structure, diamond, and styles of each that we saw.
Ultimately, we decided a custom design would be best suit. Michele was meticulous in listening to my future fiancĆ©ās ideas for the custom design. The result was a draft / mock-up that was the right design (translated very well from our initial words), and a good price (there were two options- one from the designer or an almost identical from the Sourceās partner manufacturer for much less cost).
When it was my turn to buy the ring and get logistics for the delivery of the customized finished product, Michele was a great communicator and I felt very well updated on the process / arrival estimates.
If you are someone who knows exactly what they want, and need a knowledgeable person to turn your thoughts into a physical product, Michele would certainly be great for that. Or, if you are like us and this is the first real jewelry youāre buying, and need multiple explanations of the color/clarity chart and try on 10+ rings while feeling listened to and not rushed, Michele is also great for that.
As for the store in general, they seem to offer good value and wide selections, relative to other nearby jewelry stores. They are also never too crowded the times I went, so itās a relaxing...
