Saratoga Closet — Local services in Town of Wilton

After I had spent countless hours on line; ordering and trying on dresses that did not fit my style, I was forced to send all of it back. So I thought I would give Saratoga Closet aka Bride and Gown a try. I was looking for a wedding dress and after trying on about 20 dresses in the store, I found the perfect dress! The dress fit me like a glove, fit my style and was in perfect condition with the exception of needing alterations height wise but that is to be expected. Since this is my 2nd wedding, I did not want to spend a fortune on a dress (did that the first time).Additionally, my girlfriend found a dress to wear to my wedding! Eliza, the owner, knows her trade and was incredibly helpful in finding me the perfect dress! Brittany was incredibly sweet as well. I reduced the overall rating by one star because the store was late opening for my scheduled appointment.My girlfriend and I were about to leave when they finally opened. Hence 1 star deduction for promptness, However this should not discourage you from shopping here. They have a fabulous selection of quality wedding dresses and at reasonable prices. I was not impressed. It was a mess. The bridal area looked nice, but the consignment area was piles of clothes. I was unable to actually look through anything. The front room had some semblance of organization. The back room was a disaster. It stinks because there were some high end items I may have been interested in, but I was so uncomfortable while in there, I felt claustrophobic. The tops that I looked at were all miss sized, ie; mediums in the xl spot. The few tops I looked at were unremarkable. I saw some high end bags, no price on them, and some lower end bags as well. I was not impressed with the woman working there either. She was nice when I first walked in but threw shade while I was there. I wish It was better organized so I could actually browse, but unfortunately it’s not the store for me.

Showed up for a quick shopping trip on a Sunday and the store was closed. Store hours are limited to four hours a day, and as a mom with a full time job shopping time for myself is limited. Sorely disappointed that the store is never opened when I am able to go, and really bad business policy to not keep updated store hours online. Not sure how this place stays in business.

UPDATE** to clarify: we tried to ring the bell, knocked on the window and door at 1pm. we tried again at 2:30. I also called the store several times thinking someone was in the back.
