Other than the initial shopping experience with a salesrep my experience has been absolutely atrocious. The sales rep. was very nice and seemed well-informed. I've learned since that he was not, and that no one in that store knows anything regarding shipping and manufacturing dates. They will tell you whatever the date on the screen says and do not hold their manufacturers to it.
I purchased my furniture on 10/3/2020, with an expected delivery date within 10-12 weeks. I have yet to receive it as of writing this on 4/15/2021, and have barely ever been contacted by the store with an update. I have had to chase down their sales staff and manager for updates. The latest updates I received in February were an expecting shipping date of 4/3/2021, and expected to be in my house within one week. That date was changed on 4/3/2021 to sometime in May.
I understand the challenges every industry is facing with COVID. We have all had to pivot both professionally as well as personally. I have tried to be understanding in this regard, but enough is enough. I went to Havertys and received a wonderful deal on a living room set & mattress. Here’s the down fall: I live out of county so they deliver on their time. I work full time and have 2 children, I need my funiture delivered on my time. The first delivery date I had someone take off from work to stay and wait. Havertys called and emailed me repeatedly letting me know they would arrive on 1/10 around a certain time. Here the thing NO ONE CAME! The next time I wasn’t able to have anyone stay home therefore still no furniture. Spoke with the manager Michelle, she wasn’t much help. She informed me the furniture was in the store and that I’m able to come pick it up! Perfect! She would even have people help me load my truck. She then proceeds to call me after an hour on the road to inform me that, in fact, my furniture ISN’T in store. 😢 I’m not currently moving into a place with no furniture, two children and extremely upset. Please save yourself time & effort and go with a different company. You will not be sorry!
Update: 1/16/19 still no furniture and they apparently missed another delivery. this makes it over a month....
Read moreOverall the furniture is very nice and comfortable. If you go to buy furniture in Towson, definitely ask for Shelly Spann. SHE WAS AMAZING! She was so passionate about finding what would be best for our family. Even when I was being a little impatient on just wanting to buy, she encouraged me to take swatches home and send her pictures so she could offer advice. She invited me to come back and sit on as many couches As I could so I could get a feel for the furniture and be confident with my purchase. She wasn’t just concerned with making a sale she was truly concerned with me loving my purchase. I am so thankful that she was willing to be as diligent as she was because... I LOVE my furniture and I can be pretty picky. So picky, that I actually returned something with a different seller. Not to say he was bad but he definitely lacked, in comparison to Shelly, with the passion and practical advice.
