Extremely disappointed with my experience at this store. Target has a price match policy with their competitors and today it was not honored. I came into the store to buy a handheld vacuum cleaner and unfortunately the one I wanted was out of stock. Before leaving I decided to look up walmarts site to see what they had available while I waited for my starbucks order and noticed that they had the Shark WANDVAC Cord-Free Handheld Vacuum on sale for $79.00. I stopped an associate named Nate to confirm that Target price matches Walmart. There was one Shark WANDVAC Cord-Free Handheld Vacuum in stock so I grabbed it and proceeded to the self check out line and asked the associate to assist me with the price matching. Unfortunately he did not know how to do this so he contacted Derek (I believe thats the name he said) and asked him to switch to frequency 4 so they could discuss the item in question. Derek informed the associate to send me to customer service since the item was coming up as $119 in their system. Another associate by the name of Sherri comes over and tells him that she’ll help although he was instructed to send me to customer service, she insisted that she was customer service. She attempted to look the item up on Zebra and claimed she could not locate it to complete the price match although I had walmarts site showing the item and price on my phone. She then admitted she was looking at walgreens and not walmart. She fiddles around for another minute and then tells me that she can not honor the price match because the item is not sold by walmart even tho my phone clearly shows it is sold and shipped by Walmart. My friends often complain about their bad experiences at this targets location and lack of good customer service and today I experienced it first hand.

* Recently revisited as I was given another gift card. Store has made very slight improvements, but I still saw collapsed displays, clothes strewn on the sales floor, and large holes in the inventory. Staff was moving very slowly. My 1* rating stands. The old joke is that Target is Wal-Mart with pretentions. This location is more like K-Mart for quality. What a mess! I generally try to avoid this store, as the stock isn't always what I want, and the sales are somewhat misleading. However, a student gave me a gift card, and I did need to pick up dinner, so off I went. A lot of the shelves were barren or messy. There were numerous staff members on duty, but many of them seemed to be standing around and complaining about past customers or about fellow workers. Others seemed overwhelmed. The frozen food section seemed almost Soviet, there were so many gaps. I ended up settling for plan E, after the first four items I sought were out. There were holes in the shelves (empty spots) throughout the store, as it tuned out. I found multiple aisles where merchandise had tumbled down, spilled liquids and dirt in the grocery section, and...well, let's put it this way - I kept expecting to hear an announcement about the next blue-light special. I know this store is profitable, but I still wish they had closed this one and kept the Mondawmin outlet (which was much better run, IMHO) open.

Update 28 Mar 21: Avoid! No parking! Just when I thought this location could not possibly get worse, they have managed to block half, HALF, of the parking lot with shipping containers. Worse, they managed to block the parking lot in such a way that every parking isle is restricted to one way traffic. Who runs this operation? Does management actually leave their office? This has to be the worst Target in the area. See my pics. This was pre-covid. The shelves are constantly empty of routine basics. I am not sure when they restock shelves. The employees here do not seem particular interested in actually doing anything. The narrow aisles are frequently blocked by carts full of supplies that have been abandoned by the people who should be restocking. This store just happens to be the closest Target to me. I make an effort to go to other Target stores whenever possible.

Do NOT shop at this Target if at all possible!!!! This location is a mere 5 minutes from our house, so my husband and I routinely shake off our bad experiences here, but today was the last straw. Honestly, I should've just turned around when I got there at 9am on a Saturday to find ZERO carts available in store and to be greeted by two employees arguing about retrieving them from the lot. (I just went out and got my own). Fast forward 40 minutes and I'm in the check out line with a full cart, and I brace myself for the wait because this location never has enough lines open commensurate to the time of day. I'm in line 15 minutes before it's my turn, and it's abundantly clear that the cashier is at best on her first shift as a non-trainee (who does that on a Saturday morning???!!!). At this point I've unloaded everything onto the conveyor, although I put out on the conveyor just one of each of my bulkier items (cat litter, diapers, etc...). Even when I was 9 months pregnant with twins I could never get any help at this store unloading things, so I routinely just put up one each of my heavy items and tell the cashier how many of each I have. Well at this point I get distracted by a Chatty Cathy in line next to me who can tell by my purchases that I have newborns, and she wants to see pictures, etc... the point is that I wasn't paying attention as close as I normally would to the transaction, but I clearly tell the cashier I have two litter and two diaper boxes. At some point during all of this two other target employees have wandered over to help this woman with my transaction, so by the time I'm paying there are no fewer than 3 employees standing at my register. Mind you, this has now taken 35 minutes (15 in line, 20--yes 20, being helped myself). I proceed to the exit where target security promptly stops me and asks for my receipt, which takes a minute to find because the cashier had stuck in it some random bag, and this young kid informs me that I haven't paid for all of my items. Right, I paid for $250 in merchandise and am apparently trying to steal a few things. Sigh. Well it turns out that the cashier did not in fact ring my duplicates of the bulkier items, which should have occurred to me honestly if I hadn't been distracted, because I should've gotten one of those in store gift cards for the second box of diapers. Sigh. I make the mistake of saying this allowed, which apparently signals to the young kid security guard that I clearly was trying to pull a fast one, as then he won't leave my side while he tries to find a cashier to help me. Well, a cashier can't help me if I want the gift card, so next I'm being escorted to guest services, where he stands in line with me (seriously?!). I've had enough by this point so I ask for a manager, who offers to give me an instant rebate instead of the gift card I earned from the purchase. Big whoop. I'm in near tears by this point. Mind you, this is my first trip out of the house without my newborn twins, and I've literally been accused of stealing after spending hundreds of dollars, escorted around by a security guard, and this whole ordeal has taken me 45 minutes to check out--5 minutes longer than it did for me to get all of my items in the store!!!!

And I WiSH that the above story was an anomaly. A few months ago, when I was still pregnant with the twins, I went in to buy a bunch of stuff. At the register, the cashier was having a problem he blamed on a "new" credit card system...(uh, they've had those chip readers for over a year now...) so he kept voiding my transaction and runs my card three times in a row. On the fourth time, the system issues a reject message, and the cashier has the balls to tell me that I must just not have enough credit available. Excuse me?! Luckily I had another card with me. I barely even made it out of the store before my bank was calling with a fraud alert--they had put a hold on my first card because someone had tried to run four purchases in a row at a target, and they wanted to know, was that me? Ugh!!! I guess I'll drive...

For the most part, I like the Target in Towson.Could it be better? Yes. On numerous occasions, the women's shoe department looks like a cyclone hit it. Of course, I know that this isn't entirely on the employees. Customers should have the common courtesy to not just throw shoes everywhere because they have the attitude of, "It's not my job to put back what I took out." But, it's also not just the shoe department. The makeup aisle, especially where the liquid foundations for L'oreal and Maybelline are, are always in disarray and never fully stocked. And the E.l.f mascara/eyebrow makeup section has been sloppy and under stocked for well over a month now. Clothing wise, I think Target as a whole needs to seriously reduce prices on some of the dresses that have not moved at all. No surprise, since the collections haven't been that impressive. I ended up finding a nice dress on their website whose brand they carry in their store, but was only available online. Another item that was advertised on their signage, wasn't even stocked at the store. I still will go to this Target, but not as frequently as before. Hopefully, they'll be able to restock soon and do a serious overhaul on their clothing. ETA: Just recently went here in March, days apart from each other, and left empty handed both times for the first time. I went looking for a handbag, and the selection was lacking, as was the selection for Iphone 14 plus cases, which weren't even placed together, but scattered. An associate from another Target store had to look them up to see if there were even any available. The laptop and tablet display and selection are pitiful. The tablet case hasn't been fully stocked for months. The laptops are way in back section of electronics with only 3 or 4 on display, but only 2 working. Walmart has numerous laptops and chromebooks on display and stocked. Target has been really disappointing lately. So, I dropped my review from...

I have a 74 year old mom who has been mistreated by the pharmacist as well as the staff at this location. I just arrived into town come to find out that this pharmacy has been supplying my mom with meds that she doesn’t need nor is covered by the insurance company forcing her to pay cash prices as well as shorting her on the actual prescription. I went to pick up my moms prescription today in which they were charging $400 plus dollars for her insulin patch in which the price keeps changing I asked why and was told that the doctor gave the wrong code’ how so when it’s the same code she used last month so the price was more. Secondly she says when I questioned her about another prescription price oh it’s not time for her to fillit . Ok so why are you? So as I’m going through my momā€˜s prescription record, I leave a message to speak to the head pharmacist since tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Another pharmacist Evelyn, who refused to give her her name who was very unprofessional and Huffy in the beginning was no help at all. She muddled under her breath oh my God so I asked her did she just say it so she gets an attitude. She has a public safety license and she supposed to protect, the patient and if she can do that, she doesn’t need her job now. I’m sure if this is happening to my mom it is happening to other people which is unethical and illegal. I will be coming up there on Friday according to Evelyn, since she was so upset about calling me back and made a point to tell me that the pharmacy was closed with her attitude. I will be reporting her to the pharmacy board. So on Friday she told me that Patel will be there and he is the manager. I will have a full conversation with him if he doesn’t do right, I will report him. So I encourage anyone who has dealt with this at this particular pharmacy or any pharmacy. You have the right to report them, and you have the right to file a disciplinary action...
