I was on a very tight time schedule for a rush job of 100 two-sided color copies for an unavoidably last-minute family matter. I got the materials in a partially complete state on a Sunday evening and I needed to prep them for copying such that I could have the finished project a little more than 12 hours later. I uploaded the finished materials and my payment/contact information via The UPS Store website. Shortly after the store opened on Monday morning, I received a phone call from the store that the upload--in particular, the layout to be printed, wasn't successful due to a problem with the UPS server. My heart sank, because I could see that my tight deadlines were about to be shattered. But Peter, the representative, was reassuring. I only had to send him the materials in an email attachment. He waited on the phone while I sent the email and then confirmed that the materials were ready for copying. He understood my need for the job to be rushed, and said that he expected the finished job to be ready for pick-up around noon. That would be tight, but doable. Yet, not even an hour later, he called back to say that the job was complete, looked good, and was ready for pick-up. After the delay, my job was still delivered when I ideally needed it. When I picked it up, the several staff members I dealt with were polite, efficient and professional. I could ask for nothing more. And, the price I paid was exactly what I was quoted by the website, and about half of what their major chain competitor quoted. This was a total win. The combination of personal service, attention to this customer's need, and competitive pricing was all I could ask for. They'll be my first choice when I need printing and shipping...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to this location shortly after the holidays to return a package, understanding of the staff being short due to the surge of omicron. Paid five bucks for a label that should have been free. Two weeks later, check tracking on the package no info, considering, again, Covid disruptions, I call the company where my boots were ordered, they havenāt received the package and no tracking info on their end. I call UPS directly, was informed to go that store and ask why. I called the store first, was told there was no info on the package and the package was not in the store. Called again on a Saturday morning, spoke with the ownerās wife who tried to be as helpful as she could be, however, she wasnāt very familiar with how things works as far as tracking numbers and so forth, she advised me to call Amazon. Called Amazon twice to have the same information repeated, the tracking number is not an Amazon tracking number. Return to the store, the blame for the package being lost or stolen is put on every other shipping company but this store. After asking for about three minutes what was going to be done about my package, the owner became upset yelling for me to leave his store, call Amazon, and screamed at his wife to stop talking to me. The wife then says check back in about two weeks⦠why would it take a month to return a package in the United States? Horrible experience, horrible owner, horrible customer service. Go to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI waited in line for notary services in December at the Towson store. I mean a long line. When I made it up to the counter the designated notary asked me what services I need and I asked for an I-9 certification which is a simple form required by every employer in the United States where the notary reviews your original two pieces of original documentation to state they are original (to the best of their opinion.). Not only did I present an original stamped sealed birth certificate but also a drivers license that was "Real ID" Maryland compliant.
Still..I was turned away as he crossly said he refused to provide the service because it was too risky for him to do those employment forms. Huh?? And in front of other customers which was inappropriate as well. There is no liability on a notary, Review solely rests with the company hiring the employee and any notary should know that. It is basically a good faith effort to identify me in person that I am a US citizen qualified to work.
My question for the store is: why advertise notary services if your "notary" can pick or choose what they notarize based on irrational reasoning or who knows what? . Either your notary staff are competent, educated, respectful, courteous and authorized to provide the service to everyone or you should not advertise the service at all. I-9 is one of the most typical certification a person...
