Be very careful about shopping here in the past save A lot was actually cheaper than any other grocery store. But it seems like they've changed their business model and now only certain items are cheap basically like anything off brand is going to be cheaper than anything else you could find. BUT almost everything name brand with the exception of some frozen foods is just as expensive as what you would find at a small grocery store or more expensive. Basically Save-A-Lot manipulates your shopping experience by making you think you're getting a deal when in reality you're paying more or just as much for less service (no bags) next time compare the price of milk or pop or meats, canned food, bread, and some frozen food. to what you would find at meijer's and you'll be surprised to find that it's more expensive. They're marketing seems to be effective because basically everyone in the reviews thinks they're getting a deal lol! Just be careful and price match and only buy products that actually are cheaper unfortunately a lot of poor people only shop here because they believe they're getting a deal when in reality they're not.
A smart shopper will get there frozen foods, and candy from Save-A-Lot, catch their canned food, milk, meats and pop from meijer's, and breads, rice, and veggies from Aldi's. Those three stores tend to have the best prices on those items and the best quality...

I politely say there's one light on and no one's there. She essentially huffs and puffs and reluctantly checks my items out. I almost expect this stuff from teenagers but this woman was in her 50s or older. Also, If you're stuck on a budget go to the Dollar tree....better quality of...
