Lovesac — Local services in Troy

I had an outstanding experience at the Lovesac store. First, I just want to establish that I went in there to JUST LOOK after purchasing a Moonpod and being underwhelmed with both the product and their customer service. I have back issues so comfort -sustained comfort - when I’m relaxing watching TV, reading, video games is a must. Recliners are not my thing. Chaise lounges don’t fit my room aesthetic. So I’ve been in the market for bean bag chairs. Which have always been awesome but not the most comfortable. But there’s potentially an awesome AND comfortable bean bag alternative? What a time to be alive! So I venture to my local Lovesac store. They had 3 different sacs to try as well as the love seat. Everyone was masked up. Store was clean and interactive. Alaina was my associate. She was very nice, informative, helpful, and in no way pushy. That last part I say because though she was not pushy, it’s very unlikely that I would’ve purchased same day if it had not been for her. She asked questions like where would I be using the sac, the space in the room, even coached me how to sit for maximum comfort! And to top it all off, she saved me a TON of money by getting me all the discounts she could - on the sac and cover that I actually wanted in my home. I couldn’t have been in there more than 20 minutes. The sac arrived about a week later. Great communication while I was waiting for it to arrive. I was a bit obsessed with these couches until I made a huge effort to come to the store in person and the employee wouldn’t let me see the interior of the storage seat. It was the entire point of the couch for me, and definitely the entire point of my visit and long drive. He said that the storage is the base of the couch, and that there are pictures, but the thing is - I can see pictures online, and did, and I wanted to visualize if the storage space suited my needs. However, they had a some weird case shoved into the storage seat and the employee refused to remove it.

Funny thing, it’s pretty tough to find good info on the storage section on the Lovesac website or even in customer YouTube reviews. And then with my in-store visit going so poorly, and one storage seat in the entire store and unable to see it fully, it seems as if the storage isn’t worth any attention.

It also felt very much like a simple act and a few seconds of effort from the employee wasn’t worth what would have been a $10k+ order from me, even though I was the only person in the store. He even had the audacity to offer a quote immediately after refusing to let me see the very thing I drove all the way there for.

I will not be returning or making a purchase with this company. With how much they cost, one poor experience was really all it took to convince me to...

The entire purchasing experience from show room visit to installation at my house was amazing and well thought through by Lovesac. Seamless and truly customer focused.

I felt no pressure to buy and the openness to help me think through my home’s specific requirements made my whole family feel comfortable.

The packages arrived sooner than expected, great to be able to enjoy the Lovesac sectional experience sooner.

Unboxing and setting up was extremely easy. The instructions were written on each box and attention to detail for opening plastic coverings (tape fold over tab provided so I didn’t have to work at opening the package, material used ran can be recycled (also Lovesac requests to recycle on their packaging) and my wife could also move the sections without much effort).

Once in place at the final destination, you’ll think of a different set-up , which is easy to reconfigure due to the Lovesac modularity and ease of disassemble and adjustment.

I purchased the Harman Kardon “Stealthtec” which was also easy to set up and a real “Game Changer” for full experience. The application also is easy to use and really impacts in a positive way your listening experience. Music, Sports and Movies are significantly enhanced.
