My partner and I had the most amazing experience shopping at Lustre by Adolf together for my engagement ring! If you are shopping for fine jewelry in Richmond - Lustre is 110% the place to go beyond all others. I seriously cannot speak highly enough of the customer service and quality of jewelry available!

Daniel (who is also one of the co-owners) worked with us from start to finish and made the experience absolutely fantastic. He brought in several diamonds for us meeting our range of specifications, then spent at least an hour going through each of them individually - comparing them, looking at them inside the store, outside with natural light, and even at 10X through his jewelry loupe! When we wanted to see what the different diamonds would look like in our chosen setting, Daniel went the extra mile and adjusted the prongs to rest the diamond in the ring and help us visualize it on my hand. He even offered to take pictures to share with my sister, who would've otherwise been shopping with us if not for COVID! As young professionals / grad students with a limited budget, but seeking a gorgeous ring we would treasure for years to come, we were very conscientious about beauty but also value. He worked with us to maximize the 4C's so that the diamond is absolutely stunning, but we are not paying for things we can't see. There was never any pressure or assumptions; he expertly and honestly answered all of our questions while also making us comfortable and ensuring we had fun. We wanted to be thoughtful when making such a big purchase, so we shopped around and did a ton of research before buying. From our experience shopping online and at over 5 stores, including one big-box retailer and four well-known local jewelers, Lustre by Adolf is hands down the best jeweler in Richmond! In comparison to others, which were stuffy, intimidating, and trying to upsell us, Lustre was warm, welcoming, and genuine with excellent quality and selection. It is the perfect store with something for shoppers of any age, background, or budget.

I would have loved my engagement ring regardless of where it was from, but that it was purchased at Lustre by Adolf makes it that much more special. My father recently passed away and I received my mother’s engagement ring that has been in the safe for 35 years since she passed away. On 9/20 I brought the diamond ring and their wedding bands in as I wanted to match my moms diamond and have them made into solitaire earrings. Given the quality of the diamond, this was going to be a large purchase for me. However, I knew my mom would want me to wear her diamond. I was told it would take 3 weeks to find a similar diamond and they would provide me with several options. I was told to give them another week to put them together because they were starting a sale and would be busy. After 2 1/2 weeks I called as I had received no follow up. The woman I originally worked with was on vacation but I spoke with one of the owners who apologized and said she would find a diamond for me and allow me to look at it so they could then put the earrings together so they would be ready for me when I returned from vacation…guess what…it has been another week with no update. No diamond for me to look at. My father always did business with Adolphs as their customer service was the best. Tomorrow, when they open, I am picking up my diamond and taking my business elsewhere. I guess the level of service and follow up retired with Ronnie. What a shame. I was so looking forward to wearing my mom’s diamond. It is really disrespectful. ...

I had received jewelry from Lustre before but had personally never been in the store or worked with them. However a while ago I reached out about getting some of my grandmothers rings resized but wanted somewhere that would be able to handle a more challenging request. Emailed the store and received a very prompt reply from Daniel that outlined some possible options, this was enough to say “ok, I’ll use these guys”! A couple other places just responded with “come on in and we can talk” so appreciated that Daniel (without making promises) let me know that there was a certain level of expertise that all employees possessed and they would work with the rings to ensure they’d get it right. I didn’t actually get to the store until months later and worked with Daniel to get the right fit. By that time I had decided to take a ring I no longer wore and create a new piece I would wear. Just picked up the re-sized ring and confirmed I did want the custom piece. Great experience and am loving the new piece!!! Def...
