Dear curious consumers, let me share my experience with Best Buy and its management, in hopes of sparing others from the frustration I went through. I purchased a significant amount of audio equipment for my vehicle, thinking I was getting a solid deal, especially with the “free” installation that came with the stereo. However, when I went to set the appointment, I was hit with a $700 estimate and told I needed to buy additional parts—not from Best Buy, but ones they claimed were required for the install. Still wanting to do it right, I called Best Buy’s customer service and was reassured that adding products wouldn’t affect the installation cost. Encouraged by that, I brought the equipment in to show the installer, only to be talked out of everything except the stereo and a backup camera. I ended up installing the rest of the system myself. When I returned to have the backup camera installed, it took over four hours. When they finally called me back, I discovered they had tuned my amplifier—without my permission—blowing my brand-new speakers in the process. Initially, they pretended not to know what had happened, and had I not spoken up, they would’ve sent me on my way with damaged gear. After showing proof of my purchase, one of their team members helped me file an insurance claim—not through Best Buy, but through the speaker manufacturer. Their “solution” was handing me a cardboard box and a return label. I was shocked that a company of this size would cause damage and then dodge any responsibility. Not even an apology was offered. In the end, I had to spend an extra $250 to replace the speakers, all because a proper break-in period wasn’t followed. After spending roughly $8,500, I walked away feeling completely disrespected and disappointed. Best Buy’s lack of accountability and management’s dismissive attitude reflect poorly on the company’s core values. I hope this review saves someone else from making the same mistake I did. I’m attaching a photo of the blown speaker coil. Sincerely, Mr. Blown Away!

I purchased a security camera set for my business. Due to it being quiet the distance from front of building to the back, I figured it would be easier to do wireless cameras. I bought the Arlo set of 4 cameras. Had trouble getting the sensitivity to be adjusted enough to pick up activity and not pick up just the normal car driving by. Its even been recording with nothing to set it off now. I called Best Buy's 1800 number and they weren't able to help me. They said it was outside of the 15 day return policy but to contact the store and see if they would be able to extend the policy. I am not a top tier best buy rewards person since I rarely make purchases at best buy. The return policy for them is 45 days. It is day 29 that I am trying to return the Cameras and get something hard wired or better quality than these. All I wanted was to exchange them for something else, probably would have been paying more than the $300 I had paid for these but they wouldn't take these back. The store said since I bought the cameras online and picked up in store, they couldn't adjust the policy. The 1800 number said that they couldn't change it since it was picked up in store and not shipped via online. The policy that best buy has doesn't seem to be helping the customer nor that the 'customer is always right' being applied to making the customers purchase be easy and helpful in the process. So now I have cameras that won't record when people walk by but will when its 3 AM and nothing is there because it thinks there is motion and its really the camera messing up and having blurred lines/ blurred bar going across the camera and cutting out the video. One of the worst purchases and not very helpful service on best buys part. Expect more out of a bigger franchise store.

What a terrible store! We drove over 25 miles to possibly purchase new e bikes that per the website said they had two in stock only to be told by the rudest sales associate that we could only look at the bikes. Now note these bikes are locked on tilted displays so there is no way of even knowing if the bike will fit our heights or how it feels to sit on them or the weight of the bikes. This has to be the stupidest set up for this store to not allow potential buyers to ONLY LOOK at the display of bikes. The sales associate was so rude and didn’t even stop to talk to us. He just cruised by us saying OH WELL THATS JUST THE WAY IT IS…. I tried to ask more questions only to be told THATS RIGHT TOO BAD FOR YOU! I was so offended and appalled at the sales associates in ability to stop and talk to us. I felt dismissed. My husband and I didn’t deserve to be treated this way. I’m still so mad!! If I was a yell’r I would have marched right to the manager office! I’m just so angry! If I had the powers I would have pulled this associate from the floor for more training or immediately fired.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Best Buy on Wetmore in Tucson, and I cannot express enough how fantastic our experience was! The shining star of our visit was Jonathon, an absolute gem of an employee whose expertise, patience, and delightful sense of humor made our shopping trip not only successful but genuinely enjoyable.

We initially went in with the intention of purchasing a TV, but thanks to Jonathon’s incredible guidance, we walked out with a new 75 inch HiSense TV, a Sonos Arc soundbar, an entertainment center, and a Nest Audio speaker—more than we originally planned, but with zero buyer’s remorse. We also got some great ideas of where and how to proceed with further purchases (such as the Sonos Sub and Era 100/300s). Jonathon’s approach was nothing short of masterful. He helped us balance quality and value perfectly, ensuring we didn’t overdo our budget while still getting the best bang for our buck.

His knowledge of the products was extensive, and he spoke with a level of confidence and familiarity that only comes from personal experience. It was so refreshing to interact with someone who not only understood the tech but also seemed to genuinely enjoy sharing that knowledge. He wasn’t pushy in the slightest—he let us take the lead while offering gentle course corrections and valuable insights when needed. It was clear he was there to help us make informed choices rather than simply make a sale.

We were also impressed with the other employees we briefly interacted with; they were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the store. But truly, Jonathon was the standout. He’s an absolute credit to his department and to Best Buy as a whole.

If you’re in the market for electronics or just need some expert advice, do yourself a favor and visit this Best Buy location. And if you’re lucky enough to work with Jonathon, you’re in for a treat. We left feeling confident and excited about our purchases, and we’re already enjoying the new soundbar and speaker!

Thank you, Jonathon, and thank you, Best Buy, for such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back! (give this man a raise!)

EDIT: After reading some of the other reviews, I can't help but wonder if we just got lucky or if some people may have unrealistic expectations. Everyone we interacted with did their job well, and Jonathon (of course!) went above and beyond. I genuinely can't relate to the complaints about bad customer service. We even showed up 30 minutes before closing time—when you might expect employees to be tired and ready to go home—and still felt like we were treated as valued customers. We definitely weren’t the only ones in the store, but we sure felt like the...

A laptop was purchased for me as a gift and I was supposed to pick it up in store, we used my best buy account to buy it and selected the option for me to pick it up so there would be no problems. When I went to pick it up they refused to give it to me even though I had ID and the order number but they said that the person who paid needed to be there. Why was there a option for me to pick it up if this was the case? They did say they could cancel the order and I could repurchase it with the same card info, what sense would that make? Oh and they said if I did that there would be a 2 or 3 day hold to release the funds from the original purchase AND I would not be able to use the coupon for $150 off because I could only use it once. The representative was very unsure and kept asking for help from a coworker which made me seriously doubt the information she was telling me. I left the store frustrated and immediately called customer service which told me that was absolutely ridiculous and I had every right to pick it up and to go back to the store and speak to a manager and give him the reference # from the call. I went back in and asked for the manager who continued to lean against the wall and continue chatting with a coworker for another 5 minutes before coming to talk to me. When he finally did he was immediately hostile and defensive and said he had no way to look up the reference number, um you are surrounded by computers dude, really? And what would a reference number be for if that was true? Finally he asked for my ID and then told the original person helping me " finish dealing with her" and walked away, no apology or thanks for you business or anything. I ended up getting my computer, which should have happened in the first place.I have never ever felt so uncomfortable or been treated so badly by a company that I just gave $800 to. This was the first time I've been able to have my very own computer and it was supposed to be kind of special and exciting, this Best Buy ruined that for me and left me feeling horrible. Not only would I not recommend this Best Buy but I'll go out of my way to warn everyone so nobody has to feel like this. Best Buys prices are not worth being treated like a...
