Unfortunately I was excited to try this place but I was instantly disappointed don't get me wrong the shrimp tacos were bomb! BUT the pico de gallo that they put on my tacos you can tell it was old, they had a salsa bar but had old limes that were kind of brown and the purple Onion there was hardly any so I couldn't even get any I didn't want to bug the lady LUPITA a older lady because she already had an attitude when she took my order she talks to you like she's better than you and then raises her voice when you're trying to ask what is in something.....🙄 And I noticed you talk to all the customers like that there was no music and there was no TV on so it's pretty quiet and awkward and what bugs me the most was that they had three or four different types of on the table and all of them had the same sauces in it they weren't what they said was on the bottle and I know for a fact because I tried every single one and they all tasted the same if I worked at a fast food restaurant I sure would be a lot nicer to the customers so they can feel more welcome to come back the place was clean but her not putting her attention on the salsa bar when it desperately needed attention for a restaurant that just barely opened it's a little unprofessional and lazy but hey to each their own. Prices were reasonable I guess with drinks for a little expensive but the tacos and you buy three is definitely a better price and paying each the beans and rice too were terrible barely had any flavor I'll definitely come back for tacos but...
Read more1st time in Tucson with my husband, We stopped here to eat before our event started. Place was popular with friends and co-workers. Clean. Had napkins, salt, pepper, and different bottled salsas on the table, which I liked. Oh, and the restroom was clean as well, and that definitely was a plus. In my opinion, if the restroom is clean, so is their restaurant, and it showed. Staff greeted us with a warm welcome, which you don't get every day anymore. Husband got 2 shrimp tacos with rice and beans. He said his meal tasted pretty good. I got my favorite, carna asada fries. I was shocked how this dish was made. Never had it that way before. Different for me, so my taste buds weren't as happy as my husband's, but it was still tasty. If we're ever in Tucson again, we may try it again. Those street tacos really...
Read moreStumbled in here for a quick lunch and immediately noticed the sign that said "Caldo de queso" on the specialty menu. Enough said, I was all in!! I ordered the "bowl" of soup to go along with the grilled fish, carnitas and asada tacos with a side of rice and beans! Oh so delicious! The salsa bar was stocked with everything from likes, cucumbers, green and red, mild and hot salas! All are amazing and I wish I could order them by the quart size! The woman behind the counter is always friendly and the service is quick! Did I mention the Caldo de queso is one of the best I have had in Tucson (and Nogales too)?!? If you haven't tried this place, stop in, order some tacos or a combo plate! You...
