My son’s pediatrician gave me a referral here for torticollis. I can’t actually review the treatment at this clinic because after 3 weeks of calling almost daily, I still couldn’t get an appointment. My pediatrician’s office faxed referrals over multiple times. After about the fourth fax they finally received the referral but said the diagnosis code needed to be changed (they did not call me to tell me, I only found out after I called again to check in). My pediatrician faxed the updated referral twice and they still never received it. I actually drove to my pediatrician’s office to get a physical copy of the referral and personally emailed it to the person on the phone. Still no response. Throughout the entire process I never received a call back or any communication from them, even though they knew I was waiting for an appointment. Every time I called to see if they received the referral they seemed annoyed. After 2 weeks I asked if they would call the pediatrician directly since they obviously were having fax issues (pediatrician confirmed that they were facing to the correct number) and they said no—they were too busy to do that. There are so many things wrong with this place. Every single person that you speak to tells you something different. My son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is wheelchair bound he weighs 115 pounds and is 4'3"tall (me 5'2" 180 pounds) but my son still has NO hoyer lift. It's my fault that I call between 2 home equipment companies and get told to call the other everytime. A year of fighting over a piece of equipment that not only makes lifting my 10 year old son easier, but safer. The neuromuscular specialist told me that I am lying about missed appointments that the rehab department say was never made therefore not missed as well as wheelchair repairs that I was told were denied by my son's insurance company. Not to mention they have no regard for time management or the fact that they are treating children. For the most part I was happy with this clinic. But they take no accountability when their nurses make any mistakes. In fact the cardiology nurse lied when she said she spoke to someone and she did not. I have been denied a patient advocate, denied filing a complaint, and denied to speak to an office manager. The nurses have been rude when I have tried to figure out what was going on. I don't even know if the cardiologist knows the facts. Conveniently nobody is ever available. I did speak to the nurse manager and she tried. But instead of taking accountability they blame others. I will not be doing cardiology with this place any longer. I am applaud at this miscommunication and instead of addressing the issue they insisted they did their part. This was not a minor problem this was trying to get my child setup for a heart surgery.
