I waited a two months to write a review so the newness wore off. First, quality of workmanship is excellent. The table is built like a rock and finishes are smooth. Rudy was present at delivery to make sure all went well. The wood is durable and we hosted a party with a bare tabletop since I like the wood finish. Survived spills, hot dishes and sliding around with no damage. I did reapply a wax finish coat after the initial party but probably could have just cleaned the surface. The wood is very hard and resists scratches so I will leave the table bare going forward to show off the wood grain. This is a solid piece of furniture that will be durable. As for finish, using a single tree made the grain of planks match. I am surprised how smooth the finish is, but I guess mesquite is so hard that the finish has no low spots like you would see with softer woods. Definitely will buy here for future furniture needs. My spouse and I have been looking for a mesquite table with chairs for the past couple of years and have visited several businesses in Texas and Arizona looking for the perfect set. We visited Mesquite Interiors and found the set we both liked. The chairs are light and ergonomically designed. Rudy, the owner, gave us the interesting history about our table he just recently refinished. The craftsmanship is exceptional and the finishing of the wood is impeccable. On the day of pickup Rudy showed us how to care for the table and worked with his staff to first wrap the furniture in blankets and then load it for us.
