New trainee had trouble. Usually chipotle is more than gracious accommodating no gluten. By the time we got to the salsas it was clear her use of English was inadequate. I asked many times for drained beans as they use a open holed strainer spoon just for this reason. She kept going to the bottom if the beans and the salsas getting the liquids which dilute my guacamole. Plus I requested that she change gloves as she was holding a wheat tortilla in her hands. She clearly did not understand because of language barrier between us. Her eyes and smile showed honest attempt to please but not until another employee came did she switch her gloves and trade serving spoons. The second employee went on to serve another customer and that's when I ended up with soup instead of bean salad. I ate my meal with a spoon and my guacamole was diluted to say the least. I know she meant well. I don't speak mandarin so we were not communicating well. If I wasn't time challenged and with a new very hungry friend I would have sent my meal back. Usually my preferences are considered well within reason and are fulfilled with fun conversations about various topics. This employee has great vibes and had no clue I did NOT want the liquids added to my recyclable paper bowl. More training needed. A plus for employee attempt. And more importantly topic specific education of american/English. I like my beans without the water. My salsa also drained. Tomatoes have so much water which is great for gestpacho.... not for beans with salsa and gauc. I sincerely respect the employee for getting out there. I wish more entitled American born students worked half as hard as this ...
Read moreWe used to go to this Chipotle regularly and the staff was always pretty friendly. Not at all the case the last several times we've come. Went a week ago with a group and when ordering quesadillas for my kids they advised that once they move to the new location across the street quesadillas could only be ordered online (no more walk-in orders for them). Terrible from a customer service standpoint but okay. They also had a sign that said to download/ sign up for their app and "get free guacamole today." My friend did just that and then at the register was told, "no, we're not doing that today." Gave no explanation and refused to honor it. Then I take my kids today and they tell me they won't make the quesadillas; they must be ordered online (even though they haven't moved locations yet). Just said they started that rule early. There were no. other. customers. In the time it took me to sit down and place an order for six people two additional customers came in, ordered, got their food and left. So, I left too and won't be going back. Went to the Grant/Tanque Verde store where they were very happy to make them and started they will always be available for walk-in customers to order. We'll be driving to that one...
Read moreUsed to eat hear 1 to 3 times a week. Portions have gotten smaller. Its still a good deal for real food. Corporate lying about the reduced porions is just stupid. My low rating is not related to food quality, size or cleanliness. The last three times i was in this store i had to watch and listen to a supervisor reprimand an employee for overportioning something. A degrading dressing down on the front line in front of everyone that was in line. Not just a little nudge but repetitive and ugly. These people work hard, they are attentive and literally have the public in their face all day. They deserve respect and im sure better pay. I was queasy over the humiliation the last young lady had to take in front of me. Haven't been back. So ugly 3 times in a row. Im...
