This is a strip mall with a Walgreens And a WalMart Neighbor hood Market as the large stores. There is also a Batteries Plus there as well. The day that I visited there I actually went to all 3 of those stores. The Wal-Mart store did not carry what I was looking for. The Walgreens, at least the cashier I spoke with told me the item I was looking for was either sold out or that store didn't carry that specific item. So, I ended up at the Batteries Plus store. I walked in, asked for the item by it's number and he went right to it, tore a single one off a multiple item pack (that was there for that) and then rang me up. I purchased a small watch battery for a precision dress watch. It was a bit more expensive at the Batteries Plus than other places that I'd looked for it and found online. But, either the store just didn't have it in stock or there was no store near me to purchase it from. For the convince of finding and ability to get the specific battery at Batteries Plus, I was more than willing to pay the $2 more they charged. It was cheaper than wasting the gas driving from store to store trying to find it in stock for less at another store. Overall, Monterey Village has a good variety of stores to look for and has the ability for you to find what you need. They have a store for whatever you may need. From groceries, to medical supplies, to the hard to find small watch batteries. I DEFINITELY recommend a visit to the Monterey Village for whatever...

If you stop here for a bite to eat, like at Beyond Bread, also stop into Radio Shack where they always got the coolest deals on electrical equipment and the best assortment of musical, phone, and drone gear. But what if you can't figure out some of the stuff you buy at Radio Shack?? Well Bookmans Entertainment Exchange [where you can buy, sell and trade used books, music, movies, video games & musical instruments] is where you can find an assortment of how-to books, used accessories, and awesome second-hand equipment that just might make your Radio Shack item a little more wholesome (or you favourite gaming console more rad). Oh, and don't forget that the Bookmans location, here, now services and repairs musical instruments too! However, if you're looking for a particular how-to book and can't find it within Bookmans' large selection, you can always stop into Mostly Books and order it or probably find it in their high-end [NEW] assortment of books (or their used assortment in the back).
And lastly...did you forget to buy batteries for that new toy you bought at Radio Shack? Don't worry, you can always head around the corner of Beyond Bread and head into Batteries Plus to get you battery...
Read moreI visit the liquor store in Monterey Village at least once a week. The man that owns and runs the store is really nice, friendly and has a good sense of humour. I always buy my Ace brand cigarettes there for $5 a pack (and that's including tax!) He also sells cotton candy which I can't find anywhere else in Tucson. They don't accept food stamps there however. The Bookman's there is cool too. Lots of books and video games and you can always pick up a Tucson Weekly there too. They don't have a lot of Xbox One/PS4 games there yet but hopefully people will start bringing them in once the consoles get a little older. There's an antique store-Annabel's Attic-that sells some really nice furniture for good prices. There's also some places to eat with outside seating. The parking lot is huge and they have handicapped spaces and parking's free. It's also right off the Speedway bus line so it's easy to get to if you don't have a car. Always a nice...
