I absolutely love the La Vita House! First and foremost this is a very safe place for single gals to stay, the all women’s house is really comfortable and I feel really secure there. The other guests were polite, friendly, and clean. ( there is also a co-ed house which I have booked a room for several weeks and it’s just as safe as the girls house) The furnishings in the common areas are really comfortable and I used the common areas frequently during my stay. The shared kitchens ( there are two in the girls house) are well appointed with everything you need to make meals, very well maintained by the house staff with individual pantry space for guests to store the daily essentials. For anyone who attended a Montessori school as a kid this will feel familiar, La Vita House has a very Montessori vibe! The shared appliances are well maintained and are updated when new equipment is needed ( I witnessed staff checking the pots and pans during my last visit, and removing nonstick pans that showed scratches or wear, if something breaks it’s replaced within 24 hours or less) The laundry facilities are included with your stay, very convenient! I stay a couple of times a year when I travel to Tuscon for business and I always try and book at La Vita because it’s so affordable and safe. The outside area’s are well lit, walled, and gated. The hosts are responsive to texts and easy to contact. This is a comfortable, clean, safe place to stay, not to mislead anyone, be advised that this is community living not unlike a dorm and it doesn’t include luxurious accommodation, it’s better than luxurious it’s just safe, comfortable...
Read moreVery strange that my review went away…
I lived here as a college student for a year. 2016-2017 and I wouldn’t recommend. Landlords live on site and frequently entered the house despite me asking many times or them to give warnings so times very early in the morning. While we weren’t fully dressed. Dishwasher and garbage disposal broke and we’re never repaired. Landry frequently broke too. When a few people in my house moved out, the landlords rented the empty rooms out as a hostel. Hostel residents smoked inside at all hours and partied it wasn't ideal as a student.
Also had someone staying in my room when my lease began and my mother went to put boxes in my room (I was finishing up an internship out of state).
I asked the landlords frequently to give warnings before entering and about the repairs. They never really changed which is unfortunately the reason I wrote a review. They had months to be better landlords and they did not. Also be careful, in the lease it says that you can be kicked out of the house if you have someone stay the night. Two adult women were kicked out while I lived there.
Edit: I cannot respond to the landlords comment, all of her claims are lies. I called her and asked why she lied and she hung up. The "towel" incident was when her husband saw me in a towel at 6am when he entered the house. I never went back after moving out, my friends moved out a few months after me when their...
Read moreI tried to book a room here through Airbnb. They were listing their home at $29 a night. When I sent them the request, they declined the request and sent me a new invitation with a "special price." The " special price" Was $45 a night. I am not sure if they did this because of my age or if they just lie to everybody and change the price of the last minute. Do not trust them. Unbelievable! Look at the below response to this review. They say that they communicated something to me through Airbnb . They never communicated with me through Airbnb other than to raise the price. They say that this is Airbnb "suggested price" and that's a load of pants. Airbnb may sugest a price but they do not put it on the site without the permission of the host .I stay in Airbnb all the time and they are lying about the policy. I've stayed in over a hundred Airbnbs and this is never...
