The Moonstone — Restaurant in Tucson

I had been here several times during weekdays and it is a great place and atmosphere. However, after visiting during a weekend my family and I are convinced that there is something suspicious going on. We were rudely "greeted" by a security, who asked us (a group of all women) if we would be drinking. After responding we thought he might check IDs and give us a bracelet but he gave us a lame explanation for asking. We then noticed the manager whispering something about a drink to him and the security proceeded to step out. He walked around and stared making us uncomfortable. I then remembered how the last time I had been here with coworkers 3 of them had to call out sick the next day. We didn't have food, only drinks. One of them told me the next morning how she had blacked out and that had never happened to her , I brushed it off thinking she couldn't handle her drinks but after my last visit it all makes sense. Last night at a meetup, I had a delicious Birria Burger at The Moonstone. The waitress, though I didn't catch her name, deserves huge kudos for helping me choose between three tempting options; her recommendation was spot-on for me. The meat was very tender and juicy, with a burst of flavor in every bite. Additionally, the homemade potato chips were perfectly seasoned and crisp, an ideal complement to the richness of the burger.

There's more! The restaurant itself was a visual treat. Lively and trendy, the Arizona-themed decor was a feast for the eyes. Colorful accents, dream catchers, and stunning views from the windows on the 14th floor of The Graduate Tucson Hotel created a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly fit the mood of our meetup. if only the view was any indication of what you might hope the food to be. the mountainous vistas are the backdrop to a beautiful patio and pool area. thoughtful decoration abound. so why, you might ask, is this a 2 star review? because of the corporate fat cats that expect THREE employees to handle a bustling restaurant and bar. its not the servers fault the service was bad. it’s the joint venture, hotelier, restauranteurs bourgeois that are responsible. they are the ones that will answer for the ketchup arriving 20 MINUTES after the burger arrived. they are the ones that will moisten my dry lips as i waited, parched, for a hazy ipa that left something to be desired.
