When moving in, the AC was broken, the washer in the unit was broken and still is despite work orders, no hot water for 5 days and counting, holes punched through the doors, dirty unit with scratches on the floor and paint coming off, dried vomit on the toilets, sink doesn't drain, dents in the fridges, cabinets delaminating. It is honestly trashed. The common area outside the apartment isn't much better, scuffs on the walls, stains on the carpet, the perpetual smell of garbage, dimly lit hallways, wallpaper peeling off, no care to clean the lobby or elevators. I've seen roaches. It makes me depressed coming back 'home' to this place. Not worth it at all, go somewhere else. For the price you pay, you can find something much much better. UPDATE: They replaced the washer after mold had grown in the unit, ONE MONTH WAIT. We couldn't wash our clothes, then they charged each roommate 75 dollars each for the "maintenance" request to get a new washer. The hot water was off for two weeks, my roommates lips were blue coming out of the shower. Roaches are fairly common in the kitchen and living room. Our sink drain stopped working for a few days with no maintenance in sight. The walls are not insulated whatsoever (you can hear parties and people running around in the middle of the night a few floors up from your bedroom). One of the elevators broke, the exit signs were taken off the ceiling on our floor. I ended up moving out last month and the office is so terribly unorganized- I told them probably 10 times I was moving out and selling my lease to someone and they made me pay 1 months rent as a "lease transfer fee" and then forgot I was moving out despite turning in my keys, never gave me my security deposit back, kept trying to charge me rent with extra fees tacked on. I've called them 4 times to try and get everything squared away and they usually can't help or hang up on me. Completely unprofessional. The other girl has been living there for a month now and they asked when I called "what's her name and what's her contact information, we don't have her in our system and we don't think she finished signing the paperwork" even though THEY HAD GIVEN HER THE KEY AND TOLD ME THEY HAD EVERYTHING SIGNED PROPERLY WHEN I MOVED OUT. What an absolute nightmare of a place, I'm so happy I got out of there when I did. Find somewhere else to live. "YUGO, more like you go to prison".

Yugo Tucson Campus is unlivable and management’s “solutions” don’t work. ⭐☆☆☆☆ My son tried to move into Yugo Tucson Campus two days ago and the apartment is completely unlivable. The unit had cockroach infestation, mold, broken cabinets, filthy carpet, broken doors, and an A/C that is not working properly. His room is so hot that he hasn’t been able to sleep there. We’ve had to reach out to Student Services at the University of Arizona, who placed him in an emergency room and board because he cannot stay in the unit we are paying $8000.00/month for a 5 bedrooms unit. The administration has offered “solutions,” but none of them actually work for us. They haven’t fixed the problems, and he is still unable to live in his apartment. We were shown a nice model unit before signing, but the one given to him is beat up and unacceptable. Nothing has been fixed despite repeated complaints. This place is unsafe, unsanitary, and feels like a scam. As a mother, I would never recommend Yugo Tucson to anyone’s child.

Honestly have nothing but bad things to say about this place. Everybody that asks me, I tell them to choose somewhere else to live. It’s god awful. Just to name a few things; things are broken for Months at a time, nothing works, communication is horrible, polices are garbage. Another note all of their 5 star reviews are fake and either workers at yugo or ppl they gave gift cards none of them actually have any details Here’s a list of issues I’ve encountered over my time here. My mail key has never worked from day 1, and. I have never been given a new one after asking multiple times for one. I have to have somebody get my mail for me every time. The rooftop and pool have been closed for over a month almost two now, during peak rooftop time. The hot tub rooftop and pool are unavailable. But nobody does anything about it. The gym was closed for a month for maintenance. Another immenadity that was closed for a month. Things that we pay for but don’t ever get reimbursed. My parking spot is constantly being need to be used for maintenance. Forcing me to move my car for days at a time. They tell me to just park across the street and the maintenance company will reimburse me. They did but the guy didn’t have Venmo, cash, cashapp, or Zelle. Typical yugo. My fob doesn’t work for the sauna. Another immenity that is unavailable to me. If I want to use it I have to go down to the front desk and get another fob to use. It makes me never use it and again I have yet to receive a new fob or have anything to anything about it. Constant fire alarm testing. For another month of bullshit they had fire alarm testing everyday that was extremely loud and made everybody evacuate the building. Some of the tests were false Alena’s and they didn’t alert people. It was a constant problem and disturbance. For the entire first semester the WiFi wasn’t good enough to power an Xbox. Ever since they got new WiFi it had been faster, but on 3 different occasions it has gone out for over 30 hours in a row, and they never give an answer or update when the WiFi is gonna be back of actually back. You just get to wait, the first time I waited from Friday - Monday. Somebody was blackout drunk in the building. They knew my name and room number and since they did the staff entered my room at 2am without permission to ask me if I invited the person over. I obviously didn’t and got mad at me when I told them to leave my unit. They are allowed to enter guests unit whenever they would like for whatever resin they would like. It’s not the staffs fault but the policy is Ridilocus. They said if the drunk person would’ve done something it would’ve been my liability since he knew my name and #. Which makes no sense and is completely ridiculous. I couldn’t get hot water for the first month of living at yugo. It was horrible my showers were all cold. The few days it was hot it was so hot that it was unbearable. I couldn’t shower and was always a problem. Every problem they have takes at least a month to fix and they never gave timely answers. Lastly they won’t let me sublease my apartment to someone over the summer. They said I can’t do that and I signed up for myself.

The only positive is the front desk staff is great. The mamangement and maintenance are god awful But the desk staff are nice kind and helpful. That’s the only good thing about yugo....

If you’re thinking about living at Yugo, don’t. I’ve been living here for about 7 months and I can’t wait for my lease to be over so I can never come back. I can really write a whole essay but I’ll keep it short (maybe). For one, it is incredibly over priced. I pay about $1,300 a month for a room that is smaller than a dorm room and a desk that can barely fit my keyboard on it, renovations constantly with no discounted price despite not having access to the pool or hot tub, elevators that work half of the time, hot water will be on about 2/3 of the time, and water will constantly have maintenance so randomly water will be turned off, fire alarm maintenance constantly to the point where no one even leaves the building when they go off anymore (there was an actual fire one time and no one left because why would we? Think about the boy who cried wolf), and wifi that will be out constantly (all homework and exams now are online and it has happened in the middle of an exam before). They have about 4 maintenance people on staff, so maintenance requests take around 2 weeks to be completed, for example I had to shower without a shower door (it was the 3rd time it had fallen off) for 2 weeks. Another incident being our refrigerator stopped working, and we tried to get maintenance to get us a new one but after days and days of doing nothing, all of our food we had just gone grocery shopping for went bad. Not to mention the leasing process to begin with was terrible, the base rent isn’t even that bad but after all the hidden fees I had about $400 added to my rent, we agreed to sign up for the bigger balcony as we thought it would be worth it, and don’t worry, we’re paying for it, but we never got the bigger balcony! I also have an $80 guarantor waiver fee since I didn’t have a parent to be my guarantor, it was explained to me as a one time charge, but nope, it’s monthly! Me and my roommates also had to come back 3 separate times to make sure we were actually put in the same group, because we were placed with random people 2 times, and then I was off with another group the 3rd time. And better yet, they’re getting even more greedy and rent is getting raised to around $1,670 a month. And when we did eventually move in, the floors were disgusting, our showers were not cleaned, our dryer was broken, and so was our dishwasher. Oh, and if you’re planning on getting a parking pass like my roommate, don’t expect it to be anything different than everything else I’ve said, the spots are extremely tiny and cramped together, you might be placed next to a concrete pillar that is nearly impossible to park next to without scratching your car, and the maintenance parking spots are in the middle of the road, so getting in and out can be nearly impossible sometimes. I would highly recommend not living here and going literally anywhere else, take it from someone who is living here right now,...

Quite possibly the worst apartment building on campus and it’s not even close. Haven’t had hot water a single time more than a week this entire semester. Front desk lady told us that if they feel even the slightest lukewarm water then they’ll say it’s hot and not fix it. The leasing manager Daniella said that there was absolutely nothing they could do about the hot water being fixed. We had a possible break in to our apartment and they told us they couldn’t even let us know unless we filed a police report which makes me feel very unsafe. Our drawer was broken and when maintenance came to “fix it” it broke 30 seconds after they left. Our WiFi has been down for the week in the possible worst time as it’s practically finals week. Our balcony door was broken for the first 2 months meaning it would lock us out constantly. One of our roommates hasn’t had blinds in his room the entire semester and it’s not looking like they have any desire to fix it. The rooftop pool is green and disgusting. There is constant construction every single day. The gym has been unusable practically this whole year. The front door fob reader broke for a while meaning you had to take the stairs around the sides of the buildings to get in. Our exhaust fan for the stove is useless and we will probably get charged for it since they are so money hungry. This apartment needs to be condemned and stripped down to the ground. Good riddance. If you’re considering moving in or need an apartment for your child, make this your last possible option.

UPDATE: It’s been 2 months since I wrote that review and we’ve got more issues. We had a fire on our floor in one of the units and we were not notified until 30 minutes after when the hallway was full of smoke and we had no way to breathe. We were told it was safe to go back up but the air quality was unbelievable. The fire alarm testing has been going on for weeks now where our fire alarm in our unit is constantly going off. Included in that there was music coming out of the fire alarms. The trash rooms are full of trash constantly but we will get fined for poor trash disposal when we’re unable to throw our trash away. We will put in maintenance requests and they have told us that the maintenance team will just mark the request as complete when they don’t feel like doing it. Our ice machine broke and their solution to it was bringing one singular ice tray because they said the ice machines are canceled. Half of our outlets don’t work. Our drawer STILL isn’t fixed. It’s been 3+ months since the first maintenance request. Cockroaches everywhere. Not even gonna get into that. Hot water is now working but only if we turn every shower on so that’s useless. Again, don’t have your...
