World Market — Local services in Tuscaloosa

My experience with this Tuscaloosa store was fantastic! I called 3-4 times the day before I drove over from Birmingham, checking to see if they had the colors I needed in the outdoor furniture. I spoke with the manager, Jeremy, every time I called. Every time he was patient, friendly and helpful. When I drove over the next day, he was just as great in person! I was purchasing a lot of different items, and some of them were hard to get to. He was very pleasant in helping me. When we finally had all of the items I needed, he decided to ring up my sale himself to make sure I was getting all of my Explorer rewards and coupons. I also like the way this store was layed out. It was easier to find things and move around, compared to some of the Birmingham stores that are more crowded. I love World Market anyway, but this store, and this manager were above and beyond! Went in to buy alcohol for a Christmas party and some Christmas gifts. Went to checkout and the cashier Rita refused to sell me alcohol and Jack Daniels praline pecans because my boyfriend was one month shy of 21. Left, my boyfriend went home, and I went back in to buy it and they still refused to sell me alcohol because “I previously entered the store with a minor”. Manager told me that it was illegal because I was associated with a minor and that Rita had told the associates about me. Immediately took all $177.90 worth of things i bought previously and returned it. Called corporate, they said it IS NOT their policy to check the ID of anyone other than the person who is paying, so they should have sold me the alcohol in the first place. Got to the store at 5:55 and went to door and they already had door locked. I had purchased two white swivel chairs earlier this year and I wanted to know if they had slip covers for them or if they still carried that chair bc I wanted two more . I also asked if i could just ask the associate or manager a question and he said come back tomorrow and ask your questions. It would not have hurt anyone to let me take one min to check.
