We purchased a shroud for RV from Homestead via its Amazon store. Having a good experience with Amazon vendors and their refund/return policies, we were shocked when Homestead charged us $79.00 "restocking" fee from $158.00 purchase. We returned the item unused and in the original carton. We returned the shroud because it didn't fit on the RV we were restoring for our customer. When we received a refund notice minus $79.00, we contacted Homestead requesting a full refund. Homestead responded that for our "remorse" return, the restocking fee was applied. We responded that our purchase/return was not "remorse" and that we returned the item because it didn't fit. Again, we requested the full refund of our purchase. Then, Homestead changed the tactic and responded that we shipped a "damaged" box and the item cannot be sold again. We shipped with a reputable delivery company from Lake Zurich to Chicago, about 50 miles distance. We requested Homestead to provide pictures of the "damaged" box and "damages" that were preventing Homestead to sell the unit. Homestead never produced the pictures or any other proof of "damages" and is still refusing to refund the "restocking fee." Not only we had to pay for the return shipment but we are still spending weeks of fighting with Homestead to get our money. Be aware of Homestead! Their conduct is shamefull, unprofessional...

Fun place to shop.. affordable local brand-name kitchen and outdoor cooking supplies. One never knows what you may find as there stock changes frequently. They also have regularly stocked items at a price you can't find...
