Shannon Beverage Warehouse — Local services in Union City

I had a major event scheduled for tomorrow and placed an online order with Shannon Beverage Warehouse to stock my bar. I paid for the order online but didn’t receive any notification after 24 hours that it was ready for pickup. Concerned, I went to the store to check on my order.

When I showed the staff my order number and receipt, they couldn’t find any record of my purchase. Despite the fact that they had already charged my account, the employee informed me that their system had been hacked. He stated they have no access to the online ordering system and cannot track where my money went or what orders were placed. He suggested I contact my bank, cancel the payment, and come back to make a purchase in person. With my event tomorrow, I explained that it could take 10-15 days to get my money back, if I get it at all. His response was simply, “I’m sorry, there’s nothing we can do.”

This wasn’t my first issue with them; I recalled a similar experience two weeks ago when I placed an online order and found they had no record of it when I arrived to pick it up. At that time, I paid in cash, so I didn’t think much of it. Now, it all adds up. I asked how long their system had been compromised and why there were no warnings for customers. The employee could only relay what the owner had told him.

I ended up calling my bank, canceling my card, and canceling the payment because I’m concerned about what information the hackers may have accessed. I strongly advise staying away from this place until they can ensure a secure shopping experience and provide better communication to...

Nice liquor store right off the exit. Decent size for the location that it's in but what it may lack in size it has in quality. I've been able to find a few bottles at this location that I've been looking for for a while and they always have something new every few weeks that I can add to my collection. They do really well with staying up to date on the more popular mainstream bottles, but every now and then I find one of those hidden gems there. Every time I go there I'm guaranteed leaving with something. Great product, great customer service, and pretty fair prices not too much deviation on that compared to most other shops...

On Sunday March 31, 2024, my daughter and visited this store for the first time. I've only lived in Georgia 6 months, she was visiting with my grandkids. We were told that we could not bring her six year old daughter in the store. I have never heard of this ever, even when I lived in Maryland! She was accompanied by two adults. We were limited with where to go due to this being an easter holiday. So I was unable to go in and this is very bad business, not welcoming very inconvenient and absolutely ridiculous!!!
