I'm new in town just moved to Atlanta around thanksgiving so I decided to get out the house and grab a drink while I watch the game. Due to the fact that I was an unfamiliar face, I was almost immediately singled out by the locals/regulars. And the only reason why I know this is because I heard the conversations happening around me. It was, "make sure he pays his tab" and "I hope he's not trying to rob this place, watch him!" So what did I do to deserve this you ask? I'm still trying to figure that part out. I mean I was warned that Union City was a "rough" area but I was appropriately dressed, I don't think I looked like a criminal...whatever that looks like I'm not sure. But all that I was doing was watching the game and texting on my phone. I mean I wasn't talking to anyone because I didn't know anybody...plus I'm not the type to initiate convo anyway. Regardless, it was just bad, uncomfortable vibes. I joked with a few guys at the bar, normal convo, but by that point I was already over it. Plus I had a card issue later, which made me look "guilty" to them smh but the bartender was cool, she looked out...but she still announced it to the regs like "yep y'all was right!" lol that's crazy man. So now I'm uncomfortable and embarrassed so it's definitely time to go smh only watched half of the game. I still appreciate the bartender tho because you didn't have to do that...thank you again. In the end, maybe they had valid reasons for passing judgement, I'm not sure. I guess Union City is a "rough" area and you can never be too careful these days. Maybe they get robbed or/and ran out on a lot. And if that is the case, then I don't blame them, but in my opinion, you should find a better, not so obvious way of watching individuals...maybe get a security guard. Because in this case, I was just a customer, who won't be...
Read moreSo. After told that this place was the place to go for great wings and drinks. Our server HUNTER place us outside and wipe the table off with a DIRTY towel. He was confuse about bringing the the correct drink order. Place drinks on the dirty table. We had to tell him to please rewipe the table. Receive pitcher of beer in a leaky container. Once we place our order of 30 wings and 2 order of fries. It took over hour & a 1\2 for our order to arrive and even then it was missing one fries. The waiter HUNTER didn't have the professional ability to come and keep us up to date that kitchen was behind on orders. No customer service skills. The wings was too dry, one fries missing and table dirty. This was my first time but not my lost. Only because the manager very lover lady approached us when we're leaving stating that our waiter HUNTER told her that we had an complain about the service. That's only because after he brought the bill I told him that he should do better when it comes to serving. All I ask is that the server keep up inform if for some reason the kitchen or bar in behind. No communication with us.. I was told that this was the place to go and I've families that standby this place saying it's good. They were with me and this was the first time they had this poor service. So I may just give them another try when I'm back in GA. PS. Cary, Sterlyn, Sheldon and Heather.. Please excuse any misspelled or grammar. Didn't proof-read. Because of MGR Grace. I'll give this restaurant another chance. Thanks for you...
Read moreThe cop that takes up post in the place on a Sunday evening should give you an idea. Add insult to injury, he mouths off at people before they can even get a drink. I don’t know if it was because I was the only white person in the building or if he’s a racist cop, but the guy drives business out with his chip on his shoulder. I guess if the place gets rowdy, you want that, but bc I was about to drop at least $50 in the place and hadn’t even got to sit down as the bartender didn’t know what a Single Malt Scotch was and offered to show me the bottles behind the bar when the black sheriff came to the rescue by putting his hands on me telling me to step back from the end of the bar like the sign says, which ironically didn’t say that at all on the side that was facing patrons. When the bartender asked if I wanted a blended scotch, I replied, No thanks, the attitude in the house smells bad and I don’t like thug cops pushing anyone around. Sure wouldn’t want to drink around that dude. He’d bust me for making shadow puppets behind his heavily armored tack vest, no body camera, no taser and double pistols so he can do gangland style assaults on unassuming drunk black men. Ugly little man with overcompensation issues and a badge. Bad combination for a trooper. I can’t imagine the bar approves of this, then again it’s in Union City, Georgia. What...
