I am one of the original Nordstroms card holders and have shopped here for many years. I had a recent foot surgery so I asked for a wheel chair and was promptly ID'd before they would provide me a chair. Following a long wait on one leg,, they brought a rickety wheel chair "from the back room."
I expressed alarm at feeling like I was entering a jail...NOT NORDSTROMS! Although staff was kind, they projected a sense of distrust of the customer.
I left the store without shopping because I totally disagree with their treatment of the disabled and if I do not hear back from a manager (left my name/number at the store) I will report them to the state.
P. S. I had just left Costco where their motorized scooters are at the front of their store and they did not ask for ID in order to use a wheelchair.
Nordstroms can afford motorized wheelchairs and should immediately...
Read moreI went to the Union Gap store yesterday to get some hair care products. Got to checkout and one of them scanned as "Return to Nordstrom." The store was supposed to send it back to Nordstrom, and therefore wouldn't let me buy it. The clerk said I could order it from Nordstrom. So, they're going to ship this product from Union Gap back to Nordstrom, then I can order it, and pick it up right where I was standing. Gotcha. Any guesses that it will be at least...
