Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Union Gap

I visited the Ross in Union Gap on 2/212021. I was told I could not return a pair of shoes! Let me provide the back story. I tried on 1 shoe of a pair last week . Fit perfectly. I wanted to wear the shoes for the 1st time today. When attempting to put on the left shoe, the fit was really tight. I did not save the receipt since I had zero intention of returning the shoes. When I purchased the shoes, they did not have the tag. The price was taken off the bottom of the shoes. The clerk said without the tags or receipt I could not return them! There wasn't any tags. He said he couldn't locate the transaction without either identifier. Okau, I get it. But the shoes don't fit. Am I crazy or alone in thinking that I should be allowed to at least exchange or receive something (gift card, store credit) for shoes that don't fit? I will NOT be returning to this particular store for ANY reason whatsoever...

I love the prices and yet It is a little hard to navigate through the store when customers constantly are throwing things on the floor. As most stores, they are low staffed due to Covid, something everybody should understand and possibly help by being a good customer and not throwing unwanted items on the floor. Last but not least, it's A little obvious that the long lines are not only due to short staffed, but because of the excellent prices. I have been able to work around the long lines by going after 9 since they have incredibly late hours or right when they open. I rarely stand in long lines. I find it hard to believe that people are expecting anything more than phenomenal prices. When you know you're getting 60 to 80% off of name brand items, You shouldn't...

Shop here alot & this is the gnarliest Ross in WA. The valley shoppers don't care & drop items, & toss them wherever in the store. Employees can't keep up with all the inconsiderate customers to keep it organized. So the later in the day the more out of order it becomes. They just did a new floor layout which has never happened in the around 15 years I've been shopping @ this location. Felt like I was somewhere else navigating the store & alot of the lights shutoff while shopping (store employee said it was due to remodel "they messed the lights up, they turn off when it gets dark") Well it's been dark for several hours, so I'm sure that it's a timer on some of the light switches, but hey I'm just a shopper & he's a bright, sharp...
