12/2/24. 1:00 PM. Wal-Mart in South Euclid didn't have the John Freida 2N hair color. I looked online & read that the Target in University Heights, (up the street), did have it. The Target website also offered a 25% discount if I purchased the John Freida hair color online. In order to place the order, I needed to create a Target account using my phone #, & create a password. I then ordered the John Freida hair color online. (beautiful color that lasts long), from Target for pickup. I arrived at Target at 3:32 PM. I walked to the Customer Service desk to pick up my order however, the male employee stated that it was still processing...i.e..the Target employees were unable to walk to the nearby area, pick up the box of John Freida hair color & finalize my purchase within the 2 hour timeframe. At this point, Customer Service should have called a "fulfillment employee" & stated that the customer for Order # "-----" had arrived so please finalize my pickup order. Or, a manager could have been called to finalize the order. However, this is Target. Instead, I was told to go to the aisle, pick up the box of $11.99 hair color, cancel the online order & then pay for it at the register. I didn't leave the store until 4:02 PM because after I walked to the cashier, I was then told that I needed to download the Target app that I didn't have to do when I had placed the original order. The employee & I then tried to get the 25% discount to show within my online purchase using extra steps that weren't necessary when I placed the original order at 1:00 PM as I stood in Wal-Mart. She stated that the "fulfillment employees" were in Target however, she also didn't bother to tell them to finalize my original order of 2 hours prior. 20 minutes later, (after this unnecessary waste of my time), the female cashier told me that she was able to adjust the $11.99 for the...
Read moreThis store needs help. It is NEVER properly stocked, clean or organized. It is chronically understaffed. While the workers that are there are always kind and helpful, you can tell that they're not being supported in a manner that allows them to keep up with the running of the store. The bed/bath department is always a wreck. The home section is barren. Don't even get me started on how disorganized and dangerous the Electronics section is. My father is disabled and uses the motorized cart. He should be able to safely navigate the aisles without being blocked or running into piles of merchandise. When trying to get through the seasonal section, aisles were not accessible and he kept running into displays.
COVID and supply chain issues can no longer be used as an excuse for why so many of our stores are falling behind. I don't know if its management or some other mitigating factor, but I can absolutely say that it is not any of the workers on the sales floor. They need help. They need more hands. They definitely need a raise. Hire more people. Offer higher pay rates and better benefits. People DO want to work (so don't give me that tired excuse...), they just refuse to do so without fair compensation. Working in retail is a tough job. One that deserves more than $15/hour.
Please do better Target. You have allowed this store to become a miserable place to shop. I have always been a loyal target shopper. I do not want to go to a competitor for multiple reasons and I do not want to have to drive across town to go to another Target location and I...
Read moreI was at the Target store on Cedar Rd in Cleveland Hts today, and I was searching for Nature Bakery raspberry fig bars. I had left a couple of Dave's supermarkets, and could not find the bars at any of them. When I got to the Target store, I thought they were out of stock. I was about to leave, but I saw one of the associates at the store stocking some shelves. I decided to ask her if they had any in the store. Her name is Tameka in the dry goods section. Tameka immediately stopped what she was doing and began to help me. I actually did not know the name of these delicious treats. Tameka figured it out for me and saw that there was no more on the shelf. Tameka asked me to give her a moment and she went to the stock room and found them for me. I am so grateful that she took the time to help me. She could have told me that if I did not see the item on the shelf then that meant that they were out of the item. She didn't say that, and for her great customer service, I will definitely shop there in the future. I hope I am spelling her name right. Tameka you are the portrait of what great caring people should look like. Cudos to Target for hiring such a great...
