Complete lack of experience for design and the Medallion cabinets are worse than HomeDepot off the shelf cabinets. Below is a email I sent after fighting for 3 months to have them resolve this. I have been more than clear that I wasn't happy with the quality of the cabinets or the design layout of this laundry room. I have had dozens of people at my house and they all say the same thing, cabinets too big for the space, poor cabinet construction, poor design layout. I have also had other designers and contractors over for the kitchen remodel, and have a look at the laundry room. Not one designer or contractor had anything positive to say about the laundry room. When I sent you an email in regards to the cabinet quality and the sink issue, your response was short. Cabinets have a 1/8" tolerance from the manufacturer Contact the sink manufacturer for warranty. When I had you over to my house to look at everything you said that it looks ok to you and it's a matter of perspective. I am the customer, it's my house and it should be what I want since I have to live with it. The install needed more parts that weren't ordered and in the beginning you wanted me to pay for them. Then you said you would pay for them, $135.00 in parts on a $11,000.00 contract that I am completely unhappy with. I would have expected when you came to my house and admitted that the design could have been better that you would have taken some responsibility and offered to change out the cabinets. When I suggested this, you just stared at me like a deer in headlights. Any mention of fixing this that had to do with costing you money I got this same response. After standing in front of this disaster for 2 hours you only offered to move one cabinet to the other side. I explained to you this would make the entry from both doors in the room even more cramped. You still didn't say anything about the upper cabinets or the poor quality. I came up with the Idea of centering the washer and dryer with a 9" cabinet on each side and eliminating the 24" cabinet. I was appalled when you wouldn't credit me back for not using the 24" and I also had to pay for the additional 9"!!!!! This was your designer's work we were trying to fix, why should I have to pay anything!!! As you know I am also a contractor and I stand behind everything we do. If a customer doesn't like something or ever feels like a product is not to their expectations I go over and above to make the customer happy. Yes, even if it costs me money. Reputation and integrity is everything in business. Being a local contractor for 30 years people are always asking me who I recommend for remodeling projects. It's not just that I can't recommend your company, it's the 2 hour disaster story that I will tell of who not to use. Definitely won't be leaving a good review on Google and all other...
Read more5 stars isn't enough. I'll start with the basics: 1. Studio Home is a multi-level, one-stop-shop for every major home project you're looking to do; flooring, cabinets, countertops, the accessories that go with them (handles, backsplashes, etc.). This is a showroom that houses a very large and diverse selection of manufacturer products. Prices range low to high and are comparable to the local market/other showrooms in the area (as in, like 6, at least.. I've been to all of em'..@_@). They don't carry poor quality items; things you might find at a Wal-Mart or big box store. A plus If your budget is more conservative, you're still going to get great products. If you need cabinetry, sky's the limit. Everything is customizable from the size of the cabinets, door design, color, material, paint, stain, inner upgrades like shelving, etc. And if you have a blank canvas or need help designing your space, they will come out, take measurements, and design a custom template(s) for you. Yes, there is a small fee for that -but- if you already have a design in mind or have taken your own measurements, let em' know and you'll probably have the fee waived, provided you have enough 'idea' on paper. :-) OKAY, end of novel 1. Here's why you want to use Studio Home for every and any project you're getting into: The women. Sorry if there are any men working there now, I'm sure you're just as awesome BUT MY GIRLS! Is customer service important to you? Do you want to meet deadlines for your project? Do you want to work with personable, intelligent, and straight-forward individuals? Do you have a budget? Do you not have a budget? Do you want options? Do you need direction? Do you want genuine smiles and a "please let us know if you need anything or have any questions, seriously, we're here to help."? Studio Home was my 4th stop in scoping out places to use for my home remodel. I was impressed with the amount of products they housed but the level of service and expertise Kari and Kayla showed on my first visit left me feeling relieved that there was a place I might be able to tackle every project on my list while getting help from friendly professionals along the way. Two stops later, I came back to Studio Home and started designing my remodel. Eventually, Cecilia came on board and even though new to the company, she quickly learned my name and my project. I am BEYOND satisfied with Studio Home and the remarkable team that work there. You really cannot go wrong by making them a part...
Read moreFor several years I had wanted to remodel my kitchen but found it unaffordable with many cost estimates that I had received from several remodeling companies. I found that to stay in my budget meant that I would have to compromise on my vision. I had passed by Studio Homes frequently while running local errands and assumed that from the ambience of the location and the curb appeal of the building that they would be out of my price point. I finally gained the courage to make the call and ask questions. Kari, the owner was so welcoming and really took the time to listen to not only my needs but also my vision. Kari invited me to come to the Studio for a deeper discussion and to show me various options on products. Before leaving the studio she shared that she would work up some drawings to see if she could match my vision and budget. On the next visit to the Studio, Kari unveiled the drawings and they were unbelievably gorgeous. She not only created my vision but she understood what I really valued. At that moment all I could do was cry at the genius of her work. She created everything and more that I could have ever dreamed of without compromising on what I really wanted. Together we picked out all the products and she gave me some helpful tips on color schemes and product choices for a high-end look and feel of a gourmet kitchen. The workmanship and labor in completing my kitchen on time and within budget was incredible. Before the remodel, I had limited capacity to store my dishes, cookware, and appliances. After the remodel, I have more room than I ever expected. In fact, I actually have additional storage that I've yet to use. They also found a way to include a coffee bar and a beverage fridge into my kitchen with compromising on my cabinetry needs. All I can say is that Kari and Jeff are truly subject matter experts when designing and remodeling kitchens. I'm so pleased with the outcome of my kitchen and so grateful to have found an honest team of people who care about delivering on their commitments and ensuring that the customer is valued and satisfied with the end result. I'm forever grateful to Kari, Jeff, and Galvin for making my dream kitchen come to...
