ALDI — Local services in Upper Arlington

I am very glad that there is now an Aldi at Kingsdale.

Though I am certain that the Giant Eagle Market District store at Kingsdale will continue to be my "main" grocery store [for a variety of reasons], there are several items that I have never been able to find anywhere except at Aldi. It is wonderful to now have an Aldi within walking distance of my home.

I do not drive. For many years, my only option to visit an Aldi store had been to find a ride with a friend to Cemetery Rd. [in Hilliard] or to Silver Dr. [near the intersection of I-71 and E. Hudson St. in Columbus]. Now that there is an Aldi at Kingsdale, I am able to walk to Aldi in about ten minutes.

One of the things that I had first noticed when entering the Aldi at Kingsdale [in addition to the well-designed interior space with great overhead signs to direct shoppers to the various sections within the store] is the floor.

I had initially thought that that floor is a rug [which would have been extremely odd in a grocery store where I am certain that the floors often need to be mopped] only to learn [from a manager] that that floor is actually tile [that in my opinion looks very much like a rug because of its color and pattern].

I attended the "grand opening" of the Aldi at Kingsdale on November 11, 2021 and then visited again on November 15, 2021. It had been great to be inside of an Aldi store, for my first time in nearly two years, and to see -- once again -- products that I remember from long ago but have been unable to purchase for quite a while because of travel...

This is my favorite Aldi store. I travel all over the world and have been to almost every Aldi you have. Everything from Paris to Atlanta, Georgia. You are so blessed and it was an honor and a privilege to have such a wonderful employee be so gracious and helpful. This old lady was very grateful because not only was he welcoming and friendly, but I’ll see you as fast efficient and knew all the answers. I know you know who I’m talking about. Aldi's new store in town. It's so nice. Very big and tons of great food. And the prices are beyond good, you get so much more for so much less you have to experience it yourself. Truly 1/3 to maybe 1/2 what you pay at the big name stores!!!! And you do not sacrifice quality in doing so. Give this store a try and see for yourself. You will love how much money you can save!
