The Coffee Curb — Restaurant in Vallejo

I really used to like this place, but yesterday was a big disappointment. I got my girls vanilla milkshakes, and about 5–10 minutes after drinking them, they both threw up all over the backseat. It was nothing but milkshake coming back up, so I checked what was left in the cups—and discovered the milkshakes were made with spoiled dairy. Even worse, I ordered vanilla, and my daughter kept saying it tasted like coconut, which I now realize was just the flavor of spoiled milk mixed with vanilla.

Honestly, I wasn’t even that mad at first—things happen. What really pushed me to leave this review was the response when I went to let them know. The young lady at the counter was completely un-receptive and defensive. I explained I just wanted to let them know so it could be prevented from happening to someone else, and she looked at me like I had three heads.

I had frequented this coffee shop for a few weeks now and stopped by for coffee on my way to work. I drove up, ordered my coffee and while I was waiting for my coffee I and my passenger saw an employee put a bottle of chai syrup in his mouth and open the cap with his teeth. He then took the plunger from the old bottle and put it in the new bottle after contaminating it. Disgusting! I asked the employee (young and ignorant), to throw the bottle away and think about what he just did. He got defensive and started mouthing off because he now knows I saw him. We had words and I asked him again to throw the bottle away because the customers behind us have no idea he had contaminated their drinks. The other employees in the shop said and did nothing. So, I would advise anyone to think about making their own coffee in the morning. Make time and save yourself from potential illnesses because this is extremely inappropriate and nasty. The customer service is always very good. When I don't know what I want they give me good suggestions. When I need a boost theres 911 coffee...lots of caffeine.

It seems a lot of customers don't know there are 2 sides to drive up to. There's the side everyone goes to by Jack in the Box and there's the street side window which you get to by going around the other line and entering it from the direction of the car wash. I'll see 3 cars waiting on one side and no cars on the other side.
