Customer service is outstanding. The jewelry they have is beautiful and excellent quality. However my last experience was not so good. I received my wedding band and engagement ring a week or so before my wedding. It was cleaned and ready to go except that it was missing a diamond. Because I live over an hour away I was not able to get it over there to have it repaired (which usually takes a few days) and then drive all the way back to pick it up. So unfortunately my ring was missing a diamond for my wedding. Not ideal. Bambi was our sales associate and was AWESOME! She was very helpful and offered to have my ring shipped to the store, however, I did not feel comfortable with that. She was always keeping me updated with the status of the ring, etc. Had my experience not been with Bambi, and had I worked with someone else who had less experience I think it could have been much worse. It definitely makes a difference when you’re dealing with a small company versus a large box store. It’s just disappointing that the jeweler had been careless and did not double check the diamonds and made sure the settings were secure before my ring left the store. Bambi, you are a great representation of what exceptional customer service looks like and we truly appreciate your service and help through the entire process. Your compassion for your customers and jewelry truly shows through your kindness and customer service. Martin Binder, your quality control over your products could use some improvements. Read moreI recently went to Martin Binder in Valparaiso to have some minor service done to my Rolex. I have not gone to them before, as I just moved to the South Bend area and they are the closest Rolex certified location to me.
The service I received at Martin Binder's was extremely sub-par. As an owner of a Rolex, I expect some courtesy from Rolex certified locations even if the watch was not purchased from them. From the moment I arrived at Martin Binder's, the woman who "helped" me was rude, snide, and belittling. I do not even think she asked what my name was.
I was curious to learn more about my Rolex, as it was a gift. I hoped speaking with a professional would be a great way to learn; however, the woman who was helping me gave no effort into holding a short conversation and clearly did not think I was worth her time . An example was when I ask about how to operate the watch (the dial, time setting, etc.) as I had some difficulty and concerns with the crown. Instead of taking the time to show me, she quickly set the time on the watch and practically threw the watch back at me, seemingly so I would leave quicker. While I was thankful the time was set for me, I did not expect my questions to be brushed off in such a manner.
After traveling over an hour to get to Martin Binder's, overall, I was very unhappy and upset with how I was treated. I left upset and with an awful feeling about a meaningful gift that I received for an extremely special occasion. Read moreI was a hot mess the day I came in. It was a spur of the moment stop. I was greeted immediately by a man named Conner offering to help me. He was very nice, polite, knowledgeable, and professional. When asked, he gave me information and pricing about repairing a prong on my wedding ring, resizing, and cleaning/rhodium. He consulted with another person on staff (I think it was the jeweler) and returned to advise a bridge instead of resizing. But, it would likely be weeks before they could get back to me. In the end, I took the advice and left my wedding ring as well as some gold to be reviewed in case they may want to purchase it. I also wanted a quick turnaround on the ring because I had an imminent trip. He checked and I was lucky, they agreed to have it done 9-30. I was very satisfied when I left.
The store called me yesterday 9-28 to say my ring was ready early! I picked up my ring today 9-29 and it looks fantastic and fits like a glove! It’s as beautiful as the day I got married 11+ years ago (and I’ve had many cleanings and rhodium applied since then). I also sold them my jewelry and was given what I think was a very fair price (in cash). I was nearly bouncing out the door with delight.
