9/23. Tuesday at approximately 8:45 a.m. The girl who took my order may have been having a bad day, or she just wasn't fond of men. Hard to tell. Without reason, she seemed very monotone and cold to my buddy and I, but then appeared to be nice to the next set of customers, a couple ladies who arrived shortly after us. The place was nearly empty when we walked in. She didn't greet us or ask to take my order. There was zero initiation to transact on her part, she just stared at me until I assumed she was ready, or even the person running the drawer. When my order was served it was wrong. My buddy said he saw her pull out the wrong tray, shrug and put the pastry on the plate anyway. I didn't bother to make mention as I didn't know the difference until I reached the filling and was halfway done. The incorrect pastry was heavenly in any case, so no hard feelings there.. My buddy, who was right behind me, didn't get his order til I was nearly finished and I'm a slow eater. There were three girls working up front. They all disappeared into the back for a while with my buddies drink before coming back out and serving his order. He was concerned they heard us talking smack (cashier was cold, order was wrong, and things were taking an unnecessarily long amount of time) and tampered with his order. He didn't finish it. I haven't been here before but if I were to guess, the service was uncharacteristic compared to normal. The shop was very well kept, with lots of seating, clean tables, and wonderful merch and products on display. It seemed very established, all signs of a healthy business with good service were present. Probably the best donut I've ever had in my life. The breakfast sandwiches look amazing too. As a working class construction dude, I recommend hitting the drive-thru if you are the same because it seemed like the quality of my service was contingent on my appearance or gender. Tough guys like pumpkin spice lattes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreParlor donuts are phenomenal. Every flavor I've tried has been delicious, the service is quick & courteous, & the store is clean.
The seating is a little uncomfy, but there's plenty of it. So even though it gets crowded, I've never had to fight for a table.
Special shout out to Rebecca for being calm & collected when faced with a nasty customer.
We'd snuck in moments before close & it turned 3 while we were completing our transaction. I heard the manager alert the cashier that the store was now closed, but they hadn't had time to lock up yet (and probably wanted to scoot the last customers out the door first) when a women & her 2 grandkids walked in.
The cashier let her know that the store was closed & the woman expressed her disbelief, asked a couple more times if she was serious, then told her grandkids, "This woman doesn't want to serve you"
The manager backed the cashier up, then the woman demanded to know her name - I don't know if the manger or the cashier was Rebecca, but she answered calmly & politely.
As we left the building I saw the woman go back in to take a photo of the ladies at the counter, so you know she's going to cause a fuss for them all because...

They cater to a variety of dietary needs, with gluten-free, keto, and vegan options. One of the friendly staff members explained that any breakfast sandwich can be made with gluten-free bread, and they even change gloves when preparing gluten-free orders.
Weāve tried the spinach pesto breakfast sandwich on both ciabatta bread and their gluten-free bread. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the gluten-free bread was. Itās, not dense or dry like many gluten-free options tend to be.
Their coffee menu is just as accommodating, with non-dairy creamers and sugar-free syrup choices and the sugar-free syrups didnāt have that lingering aftertaste you get with alternative sweeteners sometimes.
The doughnuts are really a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! We tried a couple of sugar free doughnuts, plus the raspberry-filled powdered sugar and the coconut cream filled mini doughnut. They were delicious. The sugar-free ones were moist, almost like cake doughnuts, but without the dryness that I am not fond of. They even have little doughnut...
