White Castle — Restaurant in Valparaiso

By White Castle standards, I guess you could say that this location is pretty much the same as just about every other White Castle. I just felt that my experience could have been much better than it was. During my visit on a Saturday night with and with no other customers either in line nor dining inside the restaurant, I found the speed of service to be ridiculously long considering there were five employees working that were clearly standing in a circle chit-chatting when I walked in. I attempted to use a coupon from the newspaper with my purchase, but the cashier seemed dumbfounded and it truly wasn't worth the hassle just to save $3.00 off of my purchase. I was also disappointed at the selection of fountain drinks that were available after I purchased my meal. The random selection available included Coke, Diet Coke, Grape Fanta, and four different flavors of Hi-C. None of those sounded the least bit appealing to me, but fortunately since this White Castle is attached to a Speedway, I simply walked over and purchased something else to drink. Dining inside the restaurant, my order came in fragments - the burgers first, then the chicken sandwiches about halfway through my meal (without apologies). As I stated earlier, as far as White Castle restaurants go, it wasn't my worst experience ever, but nonetheless I do feel that given the circumstances, it should have been better. The food, by the way, tasted great as usual, so on that front I had no reason to complain. This White Castle is the only restaurant location in Valparaiso as far as I know, so I'll probably find myself returning at some point...

Well, I gave a three star review several weeks ago when I stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday. No one cared enough to inquire as to why they didn't get a five star ( privately contacting me) so now I will publicly explain... First, trying to get into my room, the door card scanner didn't work properly. The room seemed very clean at first glance. I immediately took a shower to get ready to meet family after my trip and the bathroom sink was very clogged. Not what I would expect from a hotel. I went outside to my vehicle where I noticed another vehicle had its door open. I went inside to inform the front desk and they said they would take care of it. After about 30 minutes of being back in my room I had to go back down to my vehicle and the door was still open on this random vehicle. I closed it myself which I was hesitant to do but felt someone should do it. The worst thing about the stay was in the middle of the night I realized something was poking me in the Sheetz and after dealing with it for a while I finally turned the light on and realize the bed sheets were covered in finger and toenails! I was absolutely disgusted and have never experienced anything quite like that. Sheets should always be changed out no matter if they have been used or not. The only reason they received three stars is because they took 25% off my bill. They would have received four stars if they had taken everything off my bill and giving me a free stay at a clean room in the future. Let's see if this hotel response and cares enough after this...

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience. It was about 10:50 pm , I went to place my order at the drive thru. The woman was so RUDE !! The moment we drove up she said its only card.... no cash. And she had a MAJOR attitude. So I ordered 2 cheeseburgers, a French fry, and a large orange HiC. She tells me that diet pop is all they had. What? But I said np. Nothing to drink. Then I ordered 2 chicken ring sliders. She rudely tells me they are out of chicken rings. Really?? Ok. Now I'm getting annoyed with her attitude. So I drove around to pay..the car in front of me didn't even stay in line, they drove away without their order. Finally I drove up to pay, and again with the attitude! She acted like I should be honored she even talked to me!!! Then I had to wait, my nephew got out and went into the gas station to get something to drink. He came back and I was STILL waiting!!! Finally she gets my order, I asked why is she so rude? She tells me " I'm tired". Well I'm tired to..but I'm not being nasty to people! I asked for her name, she ignored me and shut the window. We leave, and my nephew opens the bag, she didn't even give us the French fries!! No onions on the cheeseburgers...So I had a HORRIBLE ...
